I am going to say that the pool probably will be just fine, but the ocean will be a bit nippy still. Not nippy enough to keep you out if you really are ocean lovers, but cold when you get in and cold when the wind hits you getting out will probably be the case.

I have been to Florida (not VB but other areas) many times during that time of year and while the temps tend to be wonderful weather wise, the ocean hasn't had enough time to get "warm". However, we just run in screaming and laughing, stay in as long as we would like and then run out and quickly dry off and its still a load of fun! :bluebloun

My in laws swam in the pool and played on teh boogie boards in the ocean in Dec so I would imagine it would be the same. They had a week booked and after 2 days they packed up and left for OKW at WDW they were very bored at VB LOL.

Hi Hi Shan - thanks for the Happy Birthday message - much appreciated :goodvibes

So you are thinking about VB - it is just fabulous there - we will be there about 2 weeks before you this year in mid-March (if you were thinking about this year)

1st week of April is premier at VB so the points may cause you some :hammer: issues

The average temp is 80 for high and 62 for low

So the pool will be great - they heat it as well - great view from the top of the slide :)

I think you should be ok at 7 months out as well - you may want to check for cash deals as well - especially on weekend nights, it may be less expensive for cash then points - you should only have an issue with Beach Cottages at 7 mos out which are 78 pts weekdays and 196 :hammer: on Fri/Sat

Are you thinking of taking the kids or is this a DW/DH thing?

Cheers

This would be the kids' spring break trip. We went last summer with the in-laws and really loved it there. :loveisint

I think the kids will love it! DS#1 loves the Discovery Kids program they have there and still talks bout to this day and is a key reason why we are going in March 06

we have done the last two Easters at VB and we did alot of swimming in the pool and the ocean. If its in the 80s at the time you will be fine, the younger kids maybe more interested playing in the sand when your on the beach.
