It's the little things in life that get me excited, I guess.
Do any of you remember seeing an ad for a 20 disc dvd collection being sold on (I believe it was) explorethemagic.com??
I resisted for the longest time, but my WDW obsession won out, so I bought it a couple of months ago when they were offering it for $100 off. I hadn't had time to watch a lot of it yet, but had some free time today.
On Epcot disc #2, I saw myself and my best friend, Tammy!!!
If any of you have this collection, there is a section when they are walking around France, you will see two ladies walking into the perfume shop! That would be Tammy and I. Blink and you'll miss us..lol..

I would be in a tizzy!! What a totally cool experience. The best part is that you didn't know and weren't even looking for yourself. I can't imagine "just happening upon" myself in a WDW video! :faint:

Mon Dieu!! What a neat thing, I'd be thrilled beyond belief if I saw myself in a WDW video! I'm happy for you Athenna! :clappingh

P.S. I found the dvd set for $49 here: http://www.disneyworldtrivia.com/articleViewer.php?aid=326
At least I think that's it, can you confirm? I think I'd like to order it. My only concern is it says it's an amatuer dvd--how is the quality? The previews looked a tad shaky.

Edited to add--OOO I see Off Kilter is in there. :)

Honestly, I am disappointed in it. When he is walking around the various parks it is a little shaky..When he is filming an actual show or ride footage, it is pretty good. My main complaint is that not all of my desks work. If it gets frozen, that's it, nothing on the rest of the disks work. So I would honestly say, don't bother.
Yes, Off Kilter is on there, and the footage of that is good!

I go twice a year normally, so the chances are astronomical that I would show up in anything. Quite surprising, but cool!

Thanks so much for the info Athenna!! I am sure I'd enjoy the Off Kilter portions, but I have so much footage of them (surprise, surprise! LOL) that it's silly to buy this soley for that. I have my own shaky movies of walking through the parks, no need to pay money to see someone else's! :D (the freezing is a major bummer, have you considered asking for replacements?

Anyway it's still really cool you saw yourself, that really does defy odds imo!

Just a quick update:
I e-mailed relive the magic just to advise them of the few discs that were defective. I wasn't expecting them to have much to say, since it was a few months ago that I bought them. The sent me an e-mail back right away apologizing and they are shipping me out replacements (they are paying for shipping of course) and I don't have to worry about shipping the defective ones back.

That's good to hear! As I read through the thread, I was going to suggest you contact them. I burn DVDs at home from time-to-time, and I can tell you that it's not the most foolproof process. I'd say at least 30% of the time, the final product has some sort of error on it just like what you described (blocky image, freezing, etc.) That's using hardware that is barely a year old and name-brand software.

If the DVD is really important and I'm going to send it out to someone else, I usually have to play the entire thing through first to make sure it burned correctly.
