My youngest starts Kindergarten this coming Monday and I'm like on the verge of tears... I think anything could set me off. It might very well be at sneak a peek tomorrow. It is gonna be hard having such a quiet house. I'm so used to chaos. :crymeariv

I know this is so easy for me to say, having gone thru it years ago, but you will get used to the quiet very quickly, and then when holidays roll around, you will be begging for school to start.
Good luck tomorrow, I know it will be emotional.

Well, this thread has me ROTFLMAO.
But, Shan, I can remember back to sending my one and only off to kindergarten.
It was HARD. I wasn't prepared for the tears that fell (but I of course waited until I was alone. The kid was all ready to start her new life adventure.)

If kindergarten is only half day where you are, you 'll discover you hardly have time to turn around before you have to pick herm up again!

Both of mine went to half-day K, so that helped me a lot! But it was truly one of the most difficult things for me - even though they had both gone to pre-school. Something about K,,,,, real school.... I still miss the years before all of this crazy school age stuff! I think that's what I was the most upset about - i knew our fun days of doing what ever we wanted were over!

It will be full day - I'll drop her and her sister off around 7:30 and the bus comes around 2:30. I can't bring myself to letting them ride the bus to school - it picks them up around 6:50!!!
I normally cry each year when I drop off my older daughter cause I'm worried about her peanut allergy, but this year it is my baby going. Once they enter Kindergarten it just seems like they grow up really fast. I'll be a basket case. I just hope I can make it to my car before I start the flood.

Well, she is at school right now! I cried before I even left her room! They have a class pet turtle named Crush so it looks like everything will be cool! I came home and took our younger dog for a long walk. It is so weird to be alone! Anyway, here's my girls this morning -

Your girls are really special, Shan!! I know just how you felt! I felt it when I had to put my then youngest, Ian into public pre-school. I got him back at 2:30. I had to go back to work more hours than before. He absolutely thrived in his class that year though :sunny:
That was ten years ago:bugeyed: ...and he is a very interesting 14 year old teen now!
