Saw it with our kids last night. Pretty good, not very long (only 1 1/2 hrs.). The plot was okay, overall I thought it was funny. I laughed out loud a few times. I think the story could have had a little more direction but that is from an adults view. The kids loved it and it kept a 5 and 3yo's attetion. The annimation was really good also. IMO it was a nice change from pixar... but I loved those too!

DH and I took the kids yesterday. I liked it. Not as much as Nemo... but I thought it was ok.

The kids liked it a lot. BOth the girls were chuckling out loud, and the boy was memorised....

DH like the parts he was awake for....

So our family of 6,4,2 gives it a thumbs up.

THis one seems to be lacking in advertising, I thought.

My ds9 was invited to a birthday party at the mall / movies. Normally, say "MOVIE" and my dd is THERE, man, waiting to plunge her hand into buttered corn and take it all in.

Not this time.

I could NOT believe it! I asked her 3 times - was she SURE she didn't want to go to the movie? She had ZERO interest. Same for ds10 (though I think that's because he's "holding out" for "bigger kid" stuff like Harry Potter and thinks Chicken Little is a little too... little... for a "big fifth grader" like him.) Even ds9 was rather trepeditious about the whole thing.

Now I will say, AFTERWARDS< when I went to pick ds9 up from the movie, he claimed it was quite good - very funny in fact - and wanted to know when we could buy it.

Maybe our clan has Robots burn out. Usually the kids ALWAYS ask if we can "buy it" right after they see it, LOL... but not Robots. THey truly didn't care for it. And I really, really REALLY did not like HOTR. So we're in a bit of a Disney movie slump, I guess.

Anyway... dd5 is NOW claiming, after hearing her brother talk, that she MIGHT like to go see it now. So looks like I have my homework assignment for the wkend, haha! But I really feel like this movie has not been advertised well. Even the trailiers in the theaters didn't give much insight as to what to expect. Maybe it's because my kids aren't watching Disney Channel as much any more (alas... they mostly tune into Nick.)

I do think advertising was a big problem with this one. If I hadn't seen dvcconvert's thread, I may not have gone.
