While it may be engraved in the American Adventure that Walt said that "our children(sic: 's minds) are our greatest natural resource", my daddy said it back in l970 when he was lamenting the Kent State murders. I lost my dad not too much longer after that, and thinking about him feeling this during such tumultuous times as those long ago days makes me proud that he was my daddy.

Not sure that that has anything whatsoever to do with 1000 posts, but I'm guessing that my dad would have loved Disney World and DVC.

I know your Dad is proud of you, CB. You bring so much life to others, and your playful spirit brings many a smile to many a face everyday.

It's too early in the morning to be eloquent or profound for me (bad night), but congrats. Your dad sounds wonderful - now we know how you turned out so special!

Thanks all! Your warm comments make me
I am always up for a toast with my mousefriends!
Or getting toasted even.
I find myself waxing nostalgic these days, and missing people that were meaningful in my life.
Gotta lighten up!
Maybe have a Dole Whip!

Constituents need to hear from their candidates every now and then, ya know. So, what's up?

Just laborin' hard on the campaign trail. I find the best way to insure votes is to bribe them with free Yuengling and a ride in the Mustang.

CB, great 1000th post! Sorry I missed it - haven't been around much here as the boards are moving a little slow right now, takes me ages to post or open a thead! I think that you did your father proud.

And for those that missed it, Viking hit 1,000 too - he chose to honour by posting number 1,000 (as well as many more) on the KNITTING thread!

No, I posted my 1001 on the knitting thread. 1001 moves you into the GV, not 1000.

Doncha just hate it when the ole computer slows down?:help: Is it just MO that's giving you fits? Do you need to clean your er ah...cache? (Gee that sounds dirty!)Well, we miss your posting Bavaria; I'm always glad to hear from you!

My probs re internet land are a bit diff...AOL gives us FREE internet access these days, BUT every morning I have to fiddle with the 'connectivity' access, shut down and start up again. What is up with AOL these days anyway? FREE?????
Hmm, almost as much a quandary as deciding if that was the 1000 or 1001 post on the knitting thread. I'm counting them ALL, THE viking.....and you better not be telling a fib!

OK then...got a big ole box from Disney.... a dress, 2 'beach coverups' that I wear as tennis outfits!!!!, pair of espadrilles, a bunch of frames, Mickey lantern-lights to hang on my deck (or at Pop, I guess we put them up around the window?????), 4 Mickey glasses that would hold a Yeungling or two. They ship soooo fast! And 2 letters from X's lawyer...always a bright spot in my day.

What post am I up to? Should I rent 2 days of my prime view Boardwalk to a total stranger for less than what I was asking? Or should I keep the points and make another trip to the world???????? Decisions, decisions!

I say go for the additional trip!!

You did your Dad proudl I lost my Dad in '97. It is amazing that you never lose your memories.

I know my Dad would have LOVED Disney World and everything it stands for.

Looking forward to meeting you in a few short days.
Hope you don't mind when I :tilt: turn green on Breathless.

Congrats on your 1000 post. As I posted on Mar's, I am trying very hard to move up to a one bedroom. I am a victim of my job and being on the road constantly.
