Charity Challenge XXI, a day of athletic events with 90 teams of young adults from the hospitality industry and apartment-complex communities, raised $275,000 for local charities and organizations through entry fees and sponsorships. The games were held May 20 at the Florida Citrus Bowl and team Disney Vacation Club was declared the champion. Since 1987, Charity Challenge has awarded more than $2 million to hundreds of local organizations, including the Center for Drug Free Living, Florida Hospital, University of Central Florida and the Epilepsy Association of Central Florida.
