View Full Version : Your dream WDW job

OK, another question just for fun..... I have said that my dream job at WDW is to drive the safari vehicle and be a game spotter.

Greenban posted elsewhere that he plans to retire at OKW (we'll be neighbours there, I think!) and take a part time job at WDW. Tony, would that be parking yourself in the pond outside the Temple of Heaven in China to join your relatives croaking in the evening? :doublekis

So, if you could have any job at WDW, what would it be?

I know it's not a real position, at least not yet, but I think it would be great fun
to be a personal chef for DVC members.:yummy:

Bucket-ona-stick in one hand, short little broom in the other, spiffy white shirt and shorts. Mindlessly sweeping up the crumbs left behind by ignorant slobs.

Or drive the parking lot trams....... Naw. On second thought I'd get fired for stopping the tram and throwing people off who cross the yellow line after last boarding call.

Fun question bavaria! :D

Hoping to actually make that dream of mine a reality again and be able to proudly wear my Mickey ears-

My experience is retail but I would rather get into a level of guest relations....I love, love, LOVE that pixie dust- :dust:

To work in an office, behind the scenes, in air-conditioning, wear my own clothes, be full-time and to have a Main Gate, but be close enough to walk into the parks for lunch if I wanted.

I'd do my cousin's job. She stagemanages stuff, but she also is the celebrity handler for Candlelight Processional. I think that'd be cool. Or wait, her boss's job since he gets to meet all the same people, but has A/C. And makes a lot more.

Never mind all that. I'll just perform at CP once a year. There we go. That's me, baby!

Either wedding planner or the person who coordinates the international staff program for Epcot.

Mine would have to be inside out of direct sun. I am great at retail so that would be a strong suit. I really like people oriented jobs but not sure at all that I would like to deal with the "not so nice" types you might get at check-in sometimes:bugeyed:

Does that mean you wanna wear the mousesuit?
In summer?
Without A/C?

Or are we talking CEO?

I like the wedding planner idea...well, the part of it that is FUNFUNFUN!

But what I would MOST like to be, if I could do anything at Walt Disney World is:

Tinkerbell!!!!! Do you think my limited zip line experiences (2) would help me get an interview??????? there is the little matter of weight, or rather no weight.:idontgeti But I would lovelovelove to be zipping on that line!

Oh this is easy, FW Horse Barn. I would sweat and smulter for those gorgeous babes. Plus I wouldn't be around people that much. Another bonus for me. :goodnevil

I would also love something behind the scenes with the Animals at AK. But I would only be in charge on animals that were not sick, and I could pet and babyspoil.

You know, I think I picked the wrong profession....:scratchch

A very good friend of mine works in procurement at Disneyland and occassionally, I will meet him in the park for lunch. One day, we were having lunch and it was just an absolutely goregous day out there. So, we did the mature thing and called his partner (who was at work) and talked about our wonderful lunch in the wonderful weather.

Bavaria You Rock! And THANK YOU for the hoppy postcard!

I'd gladly take any job at WDW during my retirement. Gum Scrapper, Its A Small World loader/unloader! Guy with bucket and broom behind horse's behinds in parades (sorry Rash) - Anyone know that particular job title, BTW?

But my DREAM job would be Director of Public Safety for the entire complex.

Police, Fire, EMS, Medical all under the webbed paws of a power mad frog.

Defibrillate again 360 Watt-Seconds-CLEAR......Zap, I love the smell of ozone and human flesh in the morning.

"Snipper reported at Cindy'sCastle!" Okay DSWAT team, HOP to it!!!!

Ahhhhhh, now that would be a job.

All I ask is flies and park-passes, and a stick on CM nametag, thos pins tear right through my green skin, OUCH!

Mr. Greenberg! We have missionaries stealing paper towels out of the bathrooms, there seem to be hundreds of them.....Oh the humanity, oh the humanity!

I'd like to work in AK. During the Jammin Jungle parade, I want to be one of those people who drives the car under the float and waves to everyone. The rest of the day, I'll work in the air conditioned building at Conservation Station with the veterinarian or the butterfly room.

I just got home from the unemployment office (I got laid off in June) and there I found what was almost a dream job-at WDW! They want someone part time at AK to give tours (probably Backstage Safari and Wild by Design) 3 days a week. That sounds like it would be so much fun! They want a backround in Adult Education programs (which I have) and Biology (not quite-but I'll learn!) Now I just have to find something for DH, and we'd be so there! What a surprise to see that on one of these national job finder websites.

I am a teacher with a Master's degree in biology and I work at a blood bank teaching not only blood stuff but customer service as well. I'd like to work behind the scenes in some sort of education/customer service related job. I don't want to work in the parks as I am afraid I'd not enjoy the magic the same way I do now. But I'd love to be a trainer of some sort. My dream job would be to teach the traditions class that all new employees go through. But hey, if my Bio degree gets me a great job behind the scenes at AK I'll take that too!

I am going to try to make this a reality in the next couple of years. I probably won't get that dream job right away, but if I can get my foot in the door who knows, it's possible that someday I will. :goodvibes

This is my first post in this forum and I thought this a good place to start! I've thought about this actually...I'd be one of the CM's who help entertain the kids with horse shoe and hopscotch games before the park opening or the ones who play duck duck goose with them before the parades start....:jumpingbe
Maybe one day!

Sounds like you're more qualified than I am for Disney's job opening, to give the tours at AK. We're both teachers, but you have the science backround.

Funny, I guess as you were typing the above at the same time I was editing my post to add the part about AK! Look at the time I edited and the time you posted, 5:22, LOL! Disney Minds Think Alike! :howudoin:
