Ok GMRS radios ?

So we just bought new 28Km range GMRS radios in Canada we do not need a liscence to use them I understand that the FCC in the US requires a liscence for the GMRS radios. So my question to everyone is this how do they know who is using the GMRS radios and how do tehy find you to give you a fine if you use them without the liscence because I am not going to spend 80 bucks for a 5 year liscence to use these radios for 2 weeks a year.

Ya know - I was curious about this so I googled it. Looks to me like they won't be able to monitor you unless you get on a frequency that's already in use. Problem is - it's impossible for you to tell if it's being used. Someone else, (the big THEM) will be able to tell, but not you. It also looks to me as if Disney uses these ..... you may run into trouble figuring out how to use it undetected..... Let us know!
