Johnny Depp was on Dave Letterman tonight.
He told of how, in the beginning, he would get phone calls, more and more frantic phone calls from Disney execs...what are you doing? is he drunk? are you drunk? is he gay? are you gay? are you trying to ruin the movie??????
Then he told the story of long ago and far away, when he had been in 21 jump street that he was driving down Pico Blvd one night and saw this huge billboard of him holding a gun. And the caption read: Other kids pack lunch.
:ROTFL: :ROTFL: So Johnny didn't like that much and he conscripted a friend and together, on roller skates, they went back at 2am with paint and brushes and painted out the gun. And as he was turning himself into Groucho Marx, a night watchmen caught them.The watchmen said: what are you doing? and then, he kinda looked at the kid and the billboard and said, wait, isn't that you. and depp said: yeah and I don't like it. So the watchmen hummed and hawed a bit, looked at his watch and said, well ok, but hurry up and then get outta here.
They showed the HIde the Rum clip (and I happen to have no dress right here in my cabin) and it just cracked me up. They start filming the rest of 3 in August.
