DH and I have never done a PFTS. But we always wanted to. Have planed to do it this year.....until we just received the official email with prices.

So my question is: is the PFTS really worth $125.00 per person? That seems very expensive to me.

Thank you for your thoughts.

That's quite a rate hike. Last year it was $95 per person. Does $125 per person include tax?

Hop on over to All Ears Net and take a look at some of their reports. At DisMeets Deb Wills indicated that every Party for the Senses is different (different chefs, different foods, different wines). But you can get an idea of some of the choices.

Party for the Senses 10/8/05 (http://www.allearsnet.com/tp/ep/fw05/fw05_ps.htm)
Party for the Senses 10/2/04 (http://www.allearsnet.com/tp/ep/fw04_ps.htm)
Party for the Senses 10/9/04 (http://www.allearsnet.com/tp/ep/fw04_ps2.htm)

I won't give all the links. Just use the navigation bar on the left side.

Rita, I thought it was quite a hike too. It says "plus tax, gratuity included".

Ginger, could I get you to forward the e-mail to me? I don't have one and would be interested in the details. If you would, send to jmiller@iianc.com

I am thinking that since it is $125 pp, we probably won't do it. With paying for 4 people, that increase adds another $100 to the bill. If it was just hubby and I, maybe yes, but not with son and girlfriend. I can pay for the mealplan for 3 days with that cost.

I would still like to see the details, though, might win the lottery, you never know.

WOW. That's one helluva increase.

Leave it to Disney to kill a good thing with unreasonable rate hikes.

I'll have to sit down and seriously rethink our plans to do it again this year.

When were you going to do it? On the 21st? That's what we had planned.

Viking, in reading the small print it says $125 pp, plus tax, gratuity included. So, does that mean add another 6% for the tax, making it $132.50? :crymeariv

That's how I read it. :crymeariv

That's the way I'd interprete it. If the 125.00 included tax, they'd phrase it like " $125.00, Tax & Grat included.

Bummer! That's a really too big of a price increase. Almost an Eisner 'raise it til there is only a 6 month waitlist' kind of price increase.

And how can they TAX the gratuity???? Maybe it means $125 with tax, gratuity included???

The only reason we planned on going early was for the Party and now it is getting a little pricey, especially on the dining plan.

Going to have to rethink EVERYTHING. But first I guess Ishould call...who do i call for tickets BTW. I was told they would be on sale July 31. Are they already onsale?

THanks Ginger.
I called on Friday to beache and moan and whine. I told them there is a whole website of DVC owners who are not impressed with a 33% price increase ...and that I was considering cancelling the 'extra' add on portion of our trip using WEEKEND points.

So, if you enjoy beache and moaning and whining, I say call in and let them know that we are feeling rather grumpy.
