Castle Refurb Rumor

- HCOE Decor removal Sept 10-13, 2006
- Paint Castle - Sept 19 - Dec 5, 2006
- Castle Bedchamber - Dec 5-19, 2006

Consider it rumor until proven otherwise. Nearly 3 months seems like a lot of time to paint the castle, but then again I haven't painted my 200' tall castle lately. ;)

The "Castle Bedchamber" timeline is reportedly when they will be doing the internal modifications to create the room mentioned as part of the forthcoming Year of a Million Dreams (or whatever they call it.)

Drats on the "Paint Castle" timing for our Oct. trip- I would think they would like to have the castle "looking all pretty" for the Oct. 1st kickoff of the new celebration- I hope its not all blocked off ect...-

I saw that posting over there too and wondered where that came from. I'd ask, but I'd get pounced on - they are a rough crowd.

I know a number of CMs "hang out" over there, so perhaps the person who posted that info works at the MK and they are printing it in their "tell-a-cast?"
Each area gets one of these each week that is geared to that area. I get the one for DTD, so if you came up to me and asked me where you could buy asprin, I would whip it out and tell you "Summer Sands." It also lists the park opening & closing, fireworks & parade schedules for that week. I don't know anyone who works at MK, so I am of no help here. I do know that this has not been posted on the cast portal.

My guess is that they paint the castle in small areas rather than the whole thing at once, and that they try to do a lot of it during park closing hours.Has anyone figured out the access point to the bedchamber space???? That would be MY dream!!!! Unless I could get free 1 bdr DVC for every night of the year!

I hope they don't have the castle all blocked off. I know selfish, but my mom hasen't seen it in 20 years....:(
