Did all the fitness buffs take last week off completely and did the marathoners stop training while I went on vacation:idontgeti :Paranoid:

Well, while at the World, I walked approximately 35 miles and had two strength and conditioning workouts in my villa:highfive: What have y'all been up to? I missed everyone!

Now that I am back, can we start a Mick-boxing forum discussion? I would love to find out how this forum can serve everyone and keep us motivated!

Edited: because I can't add!!

I'm sort of been around. I've been checking in but not able to write much. I'm feeling lucky to get my runs in right now. It hasn't helped not having anyone around here - it's amazing how much this board has kept me going, having people to be accountable to.

:) Hi Lisa and Pete!!!! Been checking in here but didn't see anyone around so I never posted lol!

OK....well.....I've been training. I was away for 2 weeks at the beach in the beginning of July. I ran every other day and did lots of walking. Unfortunately I missed KBX...and now that I'm back into KBX I'm SO SO SO SORE. 2 weeks away from that class and my muscles forgot! Not very nice of them lol!

Glad you two have been working out :). I have to say that I've lost some fitness with the vacations....but at least I didn't completely stop exercising. I did increase my 3 mile time to around 26 minutes (at least at the beach where it's flat lol). I have a 5K race tomorrow night and another scheduled for Aug. 12th. I start full marathon training on 8/21! It's almost official now! But before I get to that point I really need to get my endurance back up....going to schedule a few 6 and 7 mile runs over the course of the next 4 weeks.

Good job to both of you for continuing the exercise plan!!! I'll make sure to post here now!!!

I'm still here. Still ice skating like crazy, though I've fallen off the wagon a bit in terms of other exercise. I'm feeling motivated again, though, so I think I'm on an upswing.

I am glad to hear from y'all!!!!! :goodvibes I was thinking of what we might do for August. I like to have a minutes goal myself and was wondering if anyone else might like that? I would also welcome other ideas as well!!

Hi Lisa!

Yes...I'm with you on the minutes goal. That definitely motivates me and is pretty manageable to keep track of!

So yes....I'm up for that if you guys are :).

I did an hour on the bike Monday, an hour on the tread Tuesday and fifteen minutes on the bike today coupled with 45 minutes of knee, back and abs workout.

I would like to continue hearing any ideas for August motivation. By Friday, I will begin a new thread for August. If everyone likes a minutes goal, we will do that:jumpingbe

Have a great Wednesday everyone!

Can't wait to hear about your 5k race, Amy!! I wish I was to the point of doing something like that:beaniepro

I did do another hour on the tread this morning. I covered my furthest distance yet since the knee surgery - 3.4 miles. :jumpingbe
