View Full Version : AP certificate questions
I want to purchase the AP with DVC discount beginning with my December trip. Do I have to purchase the certificate on-line (I am horrible at internet stuff, as the webmaster here can attest) or can I still purchase the pass at the gate? If I need to order from the website, or DVC member services, how early do I need to do it? Does the AP begin on the day I purchase the certificate, the day I obtain my pass, the first day I use it, or some other point in between?:help:

You can purchase the AP at the gate or in advance. If you pruchase in advance (online, over the phone, or at the Disney Store), you will get a hard plastic voucher which you turn it at Guest Services outside the gate of any of the parks or at Downtown Disney for the actual activated annual pass. The clock starts from the day of activation, not the day of purchase. It expires on that date one year later, so you actually get 366 days (367 in a leap year). Note that the countdown begins on the date of activation, not first date of use. For instance, we activated our passes on the evening of our arrival day even though we weren't going into the parks (so we woulnd't have to deal with lines the next day), and then used the passes for the first time the next day. The countdown had already started at activation.

When I bought our AP's through member services, they told me that I did'nt
need the vouchers unless I planned on DDE. Since we are doing DDP I said OK
She then gave me a conf. # to take to guest services when we arrive in Dec.

D'oh - I forgot about the DVC discount and member services. I'm still new at these perks! Anyway, you AP won't start ticking until you activate it - how ever you get it.

2 day old mouseowners.com forum newbie with a question....
Looking to be a dvc owner soon for Feb. 2007 10 day trip and going to probably get an AP at member discount. Here's the question... I keep hearing things about old non expired passes with days left that Disney will give credit for. So I have 2 adult - 4 day hopper passes with 2 unused days from 2000 how or will I be able to exchange/get credit for those towards my purchase of 2 adult APs??
Thanks,
