Ok, forgive the newbie-ness of these questions but . . .
1 - Are kids allowed? I know we adults have to show membership but what about kids if they are allowed, do they have to show any proof?
2 - Will our temporary cards be enough to get us in?
3 - Is there a fee involved for going?
I think that is all for now. Oh and do I have this correct in how to get there. If I am at the condo meeting before at the Y/BC, do I just walk towards ESPN and follow the walkway past ESPN to get to the international gateway place?? Never have done that before.

Good questions cobbler. chip126 and I have our blue cards but we are concerned that chip126's mom who will be with us wont be able to go. My dd is 19 and is basically another adult too. I really hope they can go..
I do not believe there is a fee.

I'll give this a shot
1)Yes,kids will be allowed. On the members website it says -''bring your family along'', so we can bring whoever is travelling w/us.
2)Yes, your temporary cards should be fine
3)It is free! :)
btw, I made the mistake of asking a question on a board that shall remain nameless and I was accused of trying to take advantage by asking if my best friend could come. Can you see how well that would go over-hey, I'm going to the Merry Mixer, no you can't come, see ya! :faint:
Looking forward to seeing you guys! :bluebloun

I am absolutely positive that temp cards will work just fine and that kids / traveling companions / distant relatives are more than welcome. While they will check the ID card before you enter just to make sure that it's members only, it is meant to be a fun event. There are no restrictions on who you can bring with you.
And, there is no cost for the event.
Don't expect anything that will knock your socks off, but it was still a pleasant diversion. They had stations with warm apple cider and sugar cookies (not the best cookies to be honest), character photos, and a few other things to look at. If you feel like chatting with some fellow members and making new friends, it's a good place to do that. DW and I used it as an excuse to leave grandma with the kids for a little while. Honestly, we were only there for about 30 minutes. We waited about 10 minutes to get our photo taken, grabbed some refreshments, and chatted with a few folks. After a half hour we'd had enough and wandered into Epcot for awhile before returning to the resort.

Ok my DW was asking me about this today when I told her about it what I am wondering is this does it take place in Epcot or outside the gates of the park? If it is in the park are you using a park day to get in to attend the function?

It is outside the park near the International Gateway. You do not need park admission to attend, and attending does not get you into the park.
