Based on weather, Events and holidays happening at WDW, and or crowds.

My favorite time to go is the week I am going!
I love to go that time of year, it is still decent weather, it is all decorated, MVMCP, and my birthday!!!!

Your birthday is at an awesome time of year! Mine is in August, a time that I have no desire to go. The twins birthday is in April; good weather, big crowds. My youngest also has an August birthday.

I like to go anytime the crowds are low to moderate and it isn't terribly hot. I usually go once the last week of January, once in the beginning of May and once the beginning of October. I like going during the early part of December too, but 3 times a year is about perfect, and January, May and October work out well to avoid the crowds and heat and are spaced out enough so that the next trip is pretty much right around the corner. The longest wait is from May-October, but I force myself to wait, because June-September is hot and crowded. and I know I'd be miserable, even at the happiest place on earth.

I never ever will go Christmas week, Easter week, June, July or August, President's week or spring break. I hate the killer heat and I hate it when the parks are SRO. Even though I am savvy enough to use FP efficiently and get there when the parks open, hordes of people in the parks, resorts and restaurants are a huge turn off to me.

When my kids were little Ididn't have DVC, only went every couple of years, and I took them out of school whenever I went. They never had a problem catching up upon return. Now they are 15 and 20, and my oldest is (horrors!) Disney-d out for the time being. She announced after this last trip in October she doesn't want to go next year. And she had waited a year between trips, hadn't gone with me the other two I took in 2005. Sarah, my 15 year old only wants to go once a year in the future, although she did go twice with me this year. NY schools are closed for 2 days in the fall (day varies depending on Jewish calendar) for one Jewish Holiday (rosh hashonah), and one day for another (Yom Kippur, day also varies from year to year). So I planned the trip with Sarah in 2006 to coincide with Yom Kippur (rosh hashonah is on a weekend so there will be no school days off for that in 2006) that way there's less for her to catch up on when she returns. Been booking it this week in fact, day by day to be sure I get BWV standard, as F&W is happening then (as I am sure most of you know).

So in 1/06 I will be solo, but I have tentative plans for 2 friends to meet me there. In 5/06 I get to meet colorado Belle AND JiggerJ (Laura) at BWV, looking forward to that tremendously. And then the October trip with Sarah will also coincide with a trip of JiggerJ's, and she has a daughter a year younger than Sarah. We're hoping they'll become pool buddies, and Laura and I will watch from the sidelines sipping our Roller Coaster Meltdowns. :kickingco :ale: :margarita :bouncingc

When we want and when we can are unfortunately not the same. Lately we've been during spring break (last week of March) and will not go back at that time. For summer months we've been early June and late August and enjoyed them both.

Before school-age kids we'd go in October and/or February and was usually lucky with the weather and crowds, with October being our preferred month.

Ten more years and kids will (hopefully) be in college and we'll be off on our own to enjoy the fall fests and halloween.

I guess because my children are smaller and we do the one park in the morning, nap, one park in the evening and then maybe a little swimming at night, we have lucked out during busy weeks like spring break. We went last year during this time and are planning on going again this next year.

My favorite time of year to go is Christmas. Like most, I would avoid the actual holiday weeks if possible, but I really enjoy the decorations, the cooler temperatures, low crowds, etc. (second favorite time is October for Halloween for the same reasons).

The only time I will avoid again no matter what (and I have messed up and done this one TWICE now) is President's Day. Its a day when locals are also out of school, not to mention that most school districts here in Georgia (and probably many other states) have a second "winter" break that week thanks to the move towards year round schooling. My son's and I went last year with hubby who was attending a convention in Orlando that weekend and we had a good time, but it was without a doubt the busiest I have EVER seen the MK. If possible, I will pass on President's day in the future.

Also, I LOVE Star Wars weekends (late May - early June), but ding dang its hot by then in Florida and I wish they would move the dates earlier in the year. Its an event we will go to until my little guys are tired of it (I am a SW geek so I could go every year), but the heat makes it hard at times.

Mine is the week after Thanksgiving. That is when we go every year. Last year since we were going for 9 nights I decided to get AP's and got such a great room rate I said we could stay longer. We had decided to go in October of this year to get the most bang for our buck with the AP's. On our last day of vacation last year I nearly cried because I would miss all the holiday decorations. I came home and figured out how to squeeze in a super inexpensive trip for the week we normally go this year.

We were going to be staying at ASMo in a couple weeks, but thanks to DVC we can do better.

I love the week after Thanksgiving because the weather is still nice (compared to up here in MI), the crowds are lower, its all decked out for the holiday, we get the holiday spirit and can come home all pumped up.

This year the parks felt naked to me because all the Christmas decorations weren't there :(

I did enjoy October and if it were ideal I would spend the 1st week of October and the week after Thanksgiving every year.

Our favorite so far has been Thanksgiving week. Plenty of holiday decorations, nice weather and less crowds than Christmas/New Year's week.

Let's see...

The week after New Year's is usually empty at the parks.
The week after Thanksgiving is pretty empty and the Xmas festivities are in full swing.
October weather is nice and we love Halloween.
We also like to go the week before Memorial Day...most people's kids are still in school.

Is there really ever a bad time to go?

What we like and what we do aren't always the same, LOL!

Before we had school-aged kids, we have enjoyed January (usually the 1st week) - LOW LOW crowds. Only trouble is you never can be sure about the weather. One year it was quite chilly. I never realized how, even though it was FAR warmer than home, how readily I would tire when walking around the parks all bundled up! PLus, can't really get use of the pools when it's like that - and the pools and water parks are a big draw for us.

However, with 3 kids all in school now, and active in sports and other activities, about the ONLY time we can go is August. So we go as late as possible (about the 2nd and 3rd week),and we stay for about 2 weeks. It's hot, but you can bet we use every bit of the pools and water parks we didn't get to use in January, LOL! And honestly, we don't find it to be all that crowded. The parks are open later, too. SO for now, we're stuck with August.

Eventually, I'd like to try October again, or perhaps early MAy. And I'd love to do another xmas week trip. BUt first things first, which means we're still on a school calendar and therefore, AUgust-bound!

Of all the times we have gone, we have enjoyed March the best

Granted that it is a relatively busy time (the Unofficial guide touring plans come in handy)

However, the weather is generally getting nicer, days are starting to lengthen and it is nice to get a break from where we live where winter can be still be very assertive

May has now become one of my favorites. After the last trip in May to enjoy the F&G, low crowds, beautiful weather and incredible stay at the Beach Club its a must do now.

September, the week after the kids start school was one of my favorites. I would pull the kids out of school up here in Ct. for time in Disney. We were there for Hurricane Jeanne and I am a little hesitant now because of traveling during that time. Blizzards yes....been there done that but a hurricane was something new!

Hoping that the week after Thanksgiving will become a favorite too! :)

LOL, I liked KNWViking's answer too.

We like to go when the weather is moderate and the crowds are low. I think our favorite is the first two weeks of December, but we like January too. It is always warmer than home (Minnesota), and the crowds are manageable. We have gone Late August and early September a couple of times as well as October. I'm not so enamoured with the F&W fest., but I like that time of year for crowds and weather when the hurricanes stay away. We will be trying March in '06 too.

Since I married in July at Disney, it is my lovely fate to go there at that time of year sometimes to celebrate :goodvibes Weather wise, I have loved October and December (plus MNSSHP or MVMCP :rockband: )

My favorite time of year is October. To start off with, you have MNSSHP and F&W festival. Add in lower crowd levels, and perfect weather and it's awesome. This year did kind of suck however. We were there right before Wilma and it was hot, hot, hot. Definately a fluke this year.

I have gone in March and it's usually pretty nice. Weather can be a bit psychotic however. One year, the high on my first day was 50, the next day mid 60's, and then finally up to 80. This year it was upper 60's and a mixture of rain (regular rain not thunderstorms) and sunshine. Remember to take all my weather gripes with a grain of salt (or, a 50 pound bag for that matter). I am a Californian weather wimp.

I am fond of October... F&W, not to hot, but you can swim. Not too crowded. MNSSHP...

I also loved May... again not so hot Flower and Garden.... not too crowded...

But our next trip is December, so that is my current favorite time to go, with the Ousbourn lights being back, BWV's holiday decorations, MVMCP, good cheer.... Christmas Tree exchange...

I guess I love the next trip, since each trip brings something new, or old favorites to enjoy....

When my daughter and niece were younger we loved going in early December to see all the decorations or in late April before things started getting crowded and the flowers were all in full bloom.

With my daughter now in HS and my niece's father being a jerk we have to go when school is out. June isn't my favorite time to go, but it is the time we CAN go, so it's better than NOT going at all... :)

anytime of the year we can get away and just go, i wont be picky. If we go around a holiday we may skip going to the parks, unless for christmas its a must to go to the parks. Otherwise if we go during a slow season we hit all 4 parks in one day, if its alittle more crowed then we hit 3 parks in one day and hang out at the pool or waterparks, one day shopping and just enjoy eating.

Anytime we can get vacation time and good airfares is a great time for us! Haven't been in January, May or October yet. We'll try them eventually. It's nice to have goals! :)

"Jersey Week" is our most favorite time of year to go. The weather has always been beautiful, the F&W is going on, we often bump into people we know and last year we were able to go to MNSSHP on Halloween. This year we got the added bonus of seeing Cristmas decorations all over. Usually the decorations are just beginning to go up when we're leaving but this year they were already up and they were so beautiful.

This is a tough one!!!

We like January and September because of the incredibly low crowd levels, but the most magical time is pre-Christmas. That is my absolute favorite time!
