Any feelings for if they'll offer DVC or AP discounted tix, a la MNSSHP and MVMCP?

They did offer DVC/AP discounts but not during Presidents week I heard, but that again was just through reading.
Adults were 35.10 w/tax for DVC/AP disc
And 27.64 for kids
I got mine today for Jan 22nd, the night of the 1st party.

Thanks for the update, Shan. I moved your post to Tours and Events since it's announcing and discussing a new event.
Cheers!

Thanks for the notice! I've been waiting for that one, too.
Boy, they just don't cut you any breaks on those prices, do they? Well, at least for our dates they don't. We'll miss the DVC / AP discount period by a week.
Four adults and two kiddies is a little more than $220 total!! :hammer:
Three of us have APs, which really makes the additional charges sting. At least the other three can chop a day off those MYW tickets and set aside the morning for some non-park stuff. (So much for that theory--I just checked prices at Ticketmania and cutting a day off our expiry / hopper tickets would literally save us ONE DOLLAR on an adult tickets and TWO DOLLARS on the child's ticket. :thumbsway )
Maybe I should go for the trifecta and book DD at the DTD hair salon that morning and have dinner at CRT. There's nothing quite like dropping $500 at Disney in a single day.
For those prices, this event better be pretty freaking MAGICAL, dammit!!! ;)

We'll miss it too :(
Here's the dates:
January 22, 26, 29; February 1, 5, 8, 12, 15, 23, 26; and March 2, 5, 8, from 7:30pm to 12:30am

Thanks for the info everyone.
I have to check with my DH to see if he'd be interested, I already know my kids would love to go.

Tim, just think of it as preparation for proms, weddings, etc. :ROTFL:

Yeah, good point!
I tend to nickel-and-dime these things to death. It's kinda tough to swallow when I know that we could still enjoy a full night of fun at another theme park with zero cost to those of us using APs and $1-2 per person for the Hopper-holders.
Still, I'm 95% sure I'll take the plunge. Our dates are all but set since our APs expire before the end of February. Honestly that's not my favorite time of the year to visit so even if this is an annual event, it may be years before we get back to it again.
Hopefully it won't be 40 degrees after dark on the night we go. :brrrrrr:

Wow--the discount dates are pretty anemic. If the party continues until Mar 8, didn't they think AP/DVCers might want to attend after Feb 5?! I'm hoping they release more dates later. We'll be there Feb 25-Mar 3.
Maybe I'll just wait and read Cobbler's report before ordering ours . . . :innocent:

I assume the discount dates are simply based upon the demand projections. The discounts end the week before President's Day. The week before and after PD probably see an upswing in overall attendance due to school vacations, then you get into March when schools start having Spring Break.

No bashing please. I can't remember from buying MNSSHP and MVMCP tickets, but they don't put your names on the tickets do they? My parents are talking about going to WDW in Feb. And they would enjoy the party. Would I be able to buy tickets (using DVC or AP discount) and give the tickets to them as a gift? I think so, but wanted to double check.

Tim, also think of it this way....
If you don't do it now, she might not want to do it later. They grow up so quickly, my 8 year old DD is now into rolling her eyes at her younger sister when it comes to princesses.
I think your plan sounds awesome. Take the splurge and enjoy your little princess while you can.

Looks like we're going to borrow some points and take a mini-trip before our APs expire.

Ginger, if they are like MVMCP & MNSSHP, there are no names on them. They are just noted with child or adult.
