It seems like it's certainly considered a worthy successor to the 50th anniversary celebration, but it's banking a lot on emotion.
I look forward to seeing Leibovitz's photos. While I'm sure she'll photograph flesh & blood celebrities, I'd love to see what she could do with the face characters!

Wow great news Dirk! Annie is probably my all time favorite people photographer (as opposed to scenery). I particularly like the work she did for Rolling Stone, especially those last shots of John and Yoko. Agreed, it should be really interesting to see what she does with the face characters.

...Put another way, I can't imagine Leibovitz getting emotional about taking her kid on the Jaws ride at Universal.
This line in the article really spoke to me. It sums up why Disney is able to capture a worldwide market, leaving others in the dust.
I am excited to hear of what her creativity will have to offer. I know I am a emotional sap as it is, maybe I should be on some meds for the next campaign!

Wow, no Animal House junkies out there? Was hoping for at least one "Mind if we dance with your dates" kind of post!
