HHI trip...6/4 - 6/9

This was our (DH & me) second trip to HHI but the first for my DS, DDIL & DGS. This was the first time that we have been in a 1 bdrm and all I can say is no more studios for us. The room was ready about 1:30 and was in the main lodge. The room was clean and we only had one small problem with the cabinet door under the sink. It came off the hinge, but we just called and it was fixed in a jiffy. We went to Piggly Wiggly and got our breakfast stuff (I brought lunchmeats from home) so we ate breakfast and lunch in the room and went out for dinner. We went to the Wreck of the Saltly Dog and would recommend them in a heartbeat. They are a little pricey but worth it. The food and service was excelent. We also went to the Italian restruant Del Veccios (sp?). Food and service was good and you get a DVC discount there.
On Tuesday my mother came and stayed overnight in a stuido. We all went on the Dolphin tour. We went on the one through Disney that you book by the pool area. My DH & I did this last year and had a great time so we wanted to take everyone out this year. We all had a great time and my grandson even got to ride in the drivers seat. We saw a lot of dolphin. We also did the Star-Spangled Bar-B-Que on Tuesday night and had a good time.
We didn't see Shadow this year when we arrived on Sunday. In fact we never saw her all week. We went to the beach and had a great time. My grandson wasn't too sure about going out in the waves. We had beautiful weather the whole week. Here are a few photos from our trip.

Awesome pics Gail!!! May have to put HHI on my to do list one of these days. As dh says, though, if we need to take a plane, we might as well go to WDW. ;)

Thanks....he is such a joy & they are expecting again in Oct. but don't want to know if it's a girl or boy.

Carrie......my DH won't fly so we don't have that problem. Hope you can talk him into going because it is beautiful. And my grandson also wanted to pet the large crane that he saw while we were on the pier.
