View Full Version : Southwest Security Document??

Doug and I are flying to New Hampshire tomorrow to visit some friends. I was double checking my confirmation numbers on Southwest's website earlier today, and saw "security document" listed under my confirmation number.

I tried to understand all that they were saying, but it's written like stereo instructions (any Beetlejuice fans out there?). So I printed the security documents, and was just able to go in and print out boarding passes (we got A seating).

Anybody know the story on this? We're only taking carry-on luggage, since it's a two-day trip. Will they be opening and searching our luggage? It looks like we go straight to the security checkpoint, but what happens after that?

**Update**

I called a friend who's been flying Southwest for several years. She said she prints them all the time. So I guess it really doesn't mean anything. I probably never saw the notice before.

Glad you found the answer. I never encountered that and I would be really nervous myself!

Hope you have a great time!

I hope all your cavities are clean.

I think the solution is quite alimentary, my dear Watson.

Did someone mention random colonoscopy?

I think I figured out the security document situation. There are folks that like to obtain their boarding pass right at the gate. The security document will get you through the security checkpoint without having a boarding pass in hand.

At least that's what occured to me at the airport.

And I'm happy to report no cavity searches were conducted.
