Day 3 began a little later than the others. All parents know if you don't absolutely have to, never wake sleeping kids. Once again, knowing we would be back made us feel no need to rush and that was nice. Today we were going to MK! I don't know who was more excited me or the kids.
We arrived around 10ish. Our bus was packed with standing room only. DS got his feelings hurt when some older kids were chuckling about his brightly colored mouse ears. He got over it pretty quick and we convinced him he still looked cool. KIDS.
Upon arrival we picked up our stroller and headed up Main street. Saw a little bit of the Cinerella show and headed to the Tea Cups. DS, DD and me (not a ride for DW). Kids loved it. After we got off them we saw Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dumb and the kids got in line. Cute pics good experience.
Next it was off to toon town. We packed our lunches (sandwiches) and ate them before we rode the Barnstormer. DW even rode this one and liked it. The kids then played in Daisy's boat fountains. Changed clothes and toured Minnie's house. Off to the Toontown Hall of Fame for more meet and greets with the Characters. Chip & Dale (DD calls them Chip & Monk) Goofy (again) and Pochahontas. DD was finally warming up to the characters. Next we headed back to Mainstreet for the Parade. Got a good spot in the shade, DD took a cat-nap in the stroller and DS had fun with the CMs who entertained in the streets. Heck they even got us parents involved. Good times and the parade hadn't even started. The parade was cool. The kids really loved it. When it was over it was pretty hot so we took a quick train ride around the park and then headed back to OKW
Once back the kids took a rest and then we headed to the main pool. Had a great time, a little surprised with the one drink per pool trip per person rule but understood the reasoning. Swam and went on the slide, DW said my 6'3" body didn't look graceful plunging into the 3'6" pool... what does she know? We had a good time. After changing we decided to grab a bite at the snack bar next to the pool. Decent food nothing exciting but it tasted good. Visited the game rooms and played a little Fooseball and air hockey while the kids played with the toys.
After we went back to the room we decided to head out to DD for some shopping. Stayed out way to late for the kids and ended up taking the 11:00 boat back and hitting the bed around 12:00. DS and DD got some cool Pirates hats, DS added a sword and hook for his hand. Looks like we got Halloween costume in the works.
