After a late night waiting for luggage we awoke to a fresh start on Monday AM. We had a 9:00 reservation for a character breakfast at AK. Got a bit of a late start and waited too long for the right bus but finally arrived at AK a little after 9. Went through a large crowd getting bags checked and then rented a stroller. Got the double wide! Never made a better investment on the trip (that and the squirt bottles with fans from Wal-Mart before we left). We loaded up in the stroller and off we went to Donalds Breakfastosaurus. I was worried we would be out of luck since we were 20 minutes late but surprisingly we made it right in with less than 5 minutes wait.

The buffet was pretty good but everything seemed a little rushed. The Characters came buy and as expected DD was a little scared. DS loved it and we got some great pics and lots of autographs. We tried to fill up our tanks as much as possible and got started in DINOLAND! The kids got started at the dig site and loved all of the slides and fountains. I went to get a FP for EEverest. DS and I rode Primeval Whirl and he liked it, we did the TriceraTop spin with DD as my motion sick prone DW waiting on the sidelines. It was time to start heading towards Asia. DS was feeling pretty brave and wanted a piece of this new ride. Actually he started to get nervous in line but still was willing. DW and DD headed off to Camp Minnie-Mickey (she fell asleep on the way). DS and I get in line as our FP was ready. First time using this system and I must say we were impressed. Took us only about 10 minutes to make it on. For those of you who have been on this ride the first few hills on the exterior section are pretty tame, DS loved it he was giggling and having a great time... then we went inside and made the stop. From then on he was in shock. I have to admit it was as tough of a ride as I have ever ridden at Disney. I loved it but DS... NOT SO MUCH. He never cried and the picture they shot was classic. Worth the 19.00 we payed. I will post it soon. The look on his face was priceless. While waiting for the picture he mentioned how he wished they never would have made that ride. In time he will look back and appreciated it and probably love it but for now he won't be riding again.

After we met back up with DW and DD we rolled over to the Lion King show. For some reason I thought this was closed a while back. We were glad it wasn't because it was pretty hot out and this gave us a chance to cool off. What a great show!

Once out of the Lion King the kids were tired and grumpy. They wanted to head back to OKW for some pool time, the kid in me wanted to ride more rides but we have plenty of time to go back now that we are in DVC! So back to the busses we went. DD struck up a deep conversation with a 4yo on the way back. It was very cute watching them talk about things.

Once back at OKW we took a little rest and decided to try out Turtle Pond Pool. What a nice pool, quiet but large enough for the kids to enjoy. My kids are not big swimmers yet but seemed to become more and more brave as the time passed. The other kids at the pool were really friendly and that seemed to help. After a couple of hours and lots of wrinkles on all our fingers and toes we decided to head back to the room and change for a trip to Epcot and Illuminations.

On our Honeymoon back in 94 DW and I had really enjoyed a dinner at San Angel Inn in Mexico. Without reservations we attemped to get a table without any luck which was kind of a bummer but no big deal. We strolled over to Liberty Inn and grabbed a burger and staked a place next to the AG theatre. Arlo Guthrie was in the middle of Alice's Restaurant... man that one long song!

Illuminations was good. As it was playing the wind really picked up due to a thunderstorm in the distance and it really kind of made our spot miserable. The kids were fairly impressed and tired after it was over so we headed home. DD entertained herself and a couple really nice teenaged girls with a game of peekaboo while waiting for the bus. After waiting for quite a while we finally got on the bus the girls ended up standing in front of us and kept our kids entertained. Its nice to see good kids like this, it really helps the entire WDW experience.

Back in the room to tuck the kids into bed and enjoy all the space the 1 bdrm offeres. Watched a little ESPN news to find out my WSU shockers got knocked out of the NCAA baseball regionals... BUMMER!

One busy day ends and another will soon begin. Day 3 to come!

Poor DS! I wonder how old he will be before he decides to try again; DD might be the one to urge him on with her:tilt: one day!

Sounds like a fun day. I'm jealous that you got to hear Arlo Guthrie sing "Alice's Restaurant". When I was a little kid I loved that song.
