Staying offsite, I know a horrible.
but I am bring guests that I heard too many complaints from last time when we stayed in a 2-bedroom OKW.
I want them to see the different between offsite and onsite.
we are staying at a place where Spicey, my cat, can stay with us.
my question is - WDW.
I am sure they are going to be complaining loudly about the price of WDW tickets. I don't want to hear it.
Should I just let them make their own decision and forget it. Or do I encourage them to buy from ticketmania?
these people have a ton more money than me. but asking them to spend a dine is a nightmare. She has been my friend for 35 years. He is the problem. She was always tight with money. but for good value she would pay.
So do I just go to WDW without them?
I have an annual pass. :crowded:

Warn them in advance and point them to ticketmania to get their own tickets if they choose. Explain what a great value the park tickets if they are park going types, but that you wanted them to decide for themselves and then let them make their own decision.
So far we haven't had the "this is too expensive" trip with friends, but I am sure eventually it will happen.
Good luck!

If they conplained baout OKW, I wouldn't take them again, but you are obviously nicer than I. :) I agree with Laura. Tell them you will be going and direct them to Ticketmania if they want to go. Up to them, although poor Spicey might have to put up with them more if they don't go. ;)

Yes, definitely leave more of the decisions up to them. THEY can choose parks or not, hoppers or not, how many days etc. I hope they choose to visit parks, because then they truly will see the difference between on site and off.

I would supply them the info on ticket choices and prices with different places to purchase them and if they so choose then great if not then go it on your own and have a great time in the parks. They sound like my dad he always complained about the price of everything when we took him with us so now I just give him the info and let him decide what he is going to do.

I agree, let them choose.
I guess I am not so nice, depending on my mood when they do these things, but I almost would say ok pick where you want to stay, I will be in my Villa at OKW. See ya later :)

That would be the ONLY thing I would do, since staying off site is NOT an option for me!

I know that Spicey is fine at FW - he stays alot!!!
but it is nice now and again to have him with me.....I can't on site - off site there are couple of timeshares that allow pets.
He likes being the only cat (at home he has a brother and sister) and loves all the attention.
my friend yesterday got a new kitten....they were going to leave it at home with their older cat and get a pet sitter. but I suggest that they take it. Spicey gets along really well with other animals.
they have never traveled with a pet. so it will be new experience for us all.
If I ignore the kitten (very hard to do) then Spicey won't get jealous. So it should work fine....

I am impressed that you can travel with Spicey. None of our four cats travels well, and I can tell you that we miss them ENORMOUSLY when we go on vacation!!!!
This last time we went to WDW for 12 days, it was the longest time we have been away, and we had our cat sitter visit once in the morning and once at night to be sure they were all okay. We are kinda obssessive about that!
Having said that, though, it was a bit weird to come back at first, and initially, I couldn't figure out why. Then, I realized it was because I missed our fifth cat, Spot, who died (he was only 7) from a blood clot this past June.
It would be wonderful to be able to share our vacation with our kitties!! (Though I'm sure they're grateful they don't have to travel!)

The sound my one cat makes in transit would be considered torture in most countires. Not gonna' happen.

Lets us know what you decided to do with your friends, if you helped them with a hotel and tickets or did you decide to just go with spicey :Pokepoke:

oh they went.
I won't do that again!!!
Spicey had a good time - whenthe kitten was not around.
the timeshare (not a resort) was in the middle of kissimmee. So not a good location for the parks.
however, it is very close to the Osceloa County Stadium and my nephew has played there - so it will be usefully for those times.
Spicey started to travel with me when he was 3 months old. He was a sick kitten and if I left him my other cat would have killed him. He did very, very well. So since then he has traveled with me to WDW.
he only complaints when he feels that I am not allowing him to walk and smell of everything - considering how big some of the rest stops are -this would take HOURS....I won't stop for that long!!! 15 minutes to half hour I will stop but not longer....
