Tell me about Diamond Parking

I know Diamond parking is reserved for AAA members. Yesterday we got a very good offer to join AAA ($40.00 refund for gas, waiving the set up fee, and another $3 off if we pay by credit card). It would basically make our membership fee $2 for the next year.

Are the Diamond lots closer to the parks? And how do you get into them? Just show your AAA card, or what?

It might be worth joining for a year to use the Diamond lot privilege.

The diamond lots are only accessible to guests to purchase entire vacation packages through AAA. It's not an automatic perk to all AAA members. :(

Have to add, I got no perks for joining AAA. But I always get my membership fee back somehow plus some through out the year. Stalled vehicles, keys in cars, discounts on CRO rooms, and discounts on lodging on the way down is also nice incentives!!

Also that piece of mind of my long commute is worth some too. I understand there are other Emergency Road side programs, but it has been my experience they seem to be very proficient in this area.

The diamond parking lot is usually located next to or just behind handicap parking.
If you buy your Disney package through AAA , you can usually 'purchase' the diamond lot parking pass.

in Ala you just need to buy Disney tickets from AAA to ge the diamond parking permit. you don't need to buy one of their vacation packages.


I like it for Epcot and Studios - don't like it for MK...
