Do DVC members get discounts on Magic Your Way tickets? We have AP's but my sister and her husband will need to get tickets for our trip in November. (They'll be staying in our villa with us) Can I get them a discount? Is pre-buying in advance the only discount available to them? Thanks!

A DVC member can get discounts on annual passes for themselves. If you go to www.mousesavers.com you will find two ticket brokers that offer discount on park tickets for anyone.

Kimberly, I think undercovertourist.com offers the best discounts for passes. Even better if you link through Mousesavers.com newsletter. PM if you need a link from the latest newsletter.

IMO if you go for more than 10 days in a year the AP is the best way to go.

I second Pam's suggestion to check Mousesavers for MYW discounts. As far as I know, there aren't any DVC discounts except for APs. It doesn't hurt to also check AAA. A couple of years ago, my AAA office had the best rates of all (including tax) - even better than the legitimate discounters.

Thanks for the advice! An AP for them would not be good. They only get to go when we take them for a week about 1 time every 2 years....can you imagine??? ;) Thanks again, I'll check the sites and AAA.

For whatever reason, on the tickets I want it is less expensive to buy directly through Disney than through undercovertourist (but I don't have the special link yet) or even the Military MWR system. I don't know why, but it is this way. For example, a 7-day park hopper with no expiration is $301 from Disney on their website, but $305 at undercovertourist or my local (Ft. Belvoir) MWR office....

Be careful when comparing pricing with Disney. Most on-line brokers whom I've visited will show you a net cost which includes tax--some even include shipping in their posted ticket prices. Disney includes neither tax nor shipping. Take whatever prices you are seeing at Disney.com and add about 6.5% for tax. I don't think they charge any fees if you use the "Will call" pickup option, but there are fees if you want the paper tickets shipped to your home.

We just went in May and our Parkhopper tickets were simply added to our room keys - we never received nor used any paper tickets. It was also pretty convenient to have our tickets, dining plan, and room key all on the same plastic card.
Now, we stayed at Caribbean Beach Resort; is it that you can't do that (have your park admission tickets on your room key) at DVC properties?

Yes you can, but I was commenting on the prices. You mentioned $301 for a non-expiring 7-day park hopper through Disney. That's the price before tax. Sales tax is charged on all purchases regardless of your state of residence since the tickets are to be used in Florida.
By the time you add this ticket to your cart and begin the checkout process, the price is over $320. Depending on the delivery option chosen, you could add even more to the bottom line.
I'm not recommending that everyone use Ticketmania, just pointing out that MOST brokers include tax in their posted prices while Disney does not. If you aren't watching the total closely when you check-out, it's easy to think you are getting a better deal through Disney.
Ticketmania, the broker I usually use, has the same pass for $304 which INCLUDES tax. That's more than $16 less than Disney's advance purchase prices.

Elaine and Stimpy!
If you go through a link found in the Mousesavers newsletter, a 7 day hopper pass with no expiration is $300 through undercovertourist. That does include shipping and taxes. I have found their prices to be the best, and they're great to deal with.
PM me if you would like to me send you the link to the newsletter.
