I am considering buying resale for my first Contract, but I only know of 2 resale firms. DVC by Resale and the time share store. Are these good trustworthy firms and are there any others that anyone knows of? Thanks :handshake

Yes, they are known and considered to be trustworthy in this community. There is one other resale agent that some people use: Jaki at A Timeshare Broker (www.atimeshare.com/disney/).

We bought our first contract through The Timeshare Store. They are very reputable and easy to work with. The seller wanted $75 a point, but Jason suggested we offer $73 a point, which had a good chance of passing ROFR. The seller accepted our offer and we indeed passed ROFR. Jason's suggestion saved us $600.

I don't have personal experience with DVC by Resale and A Timeshare Broker.

We worked with Jaki too. All went extremely well, even considering the fact that I am in South America!
I spoke on the phone with Shontell from DVC by resale and she was very kind and helpful even though I did not buy from her.

Good luck!

I have at least 7 resale purchases from the TimeShare Store with Jason.

I can wholeheartedly recommend TTS and Jason. (There aren't many things in this world that I can wholeheartedly recommend BTW!).

Awesome service, good advice, reasonable charges, great inventory and most importantly, tons of experience and expertise.

Hope this helps!

I just purchased a resale through The Timeshare Store and I would also recommend them. They were very helpful and kept you up-to-date with where you were in the process. I would not hesitate to you buy through them again.

In the past year we purchased 4 reasle contracts through the Timeshare Store and they were great. They kept us informed at every step. Our agent was Kristie. Just tell them what you are lookig for and they will keep an eye out for it. Good luck. Be patient since the whole process takes 1 - 2 months before you can book (closer to 2 months)

We used Pat Spell at Timeshare Store, and she was great.

I've never used Jaki or Shontell, but I've heard nothing but good reports about both.

Beware of resale brokers who sound like they finance cars for a living.

Thanks to everyone for the kind words. I can tell you that while I would love to work with you, AllDisneyLover, the previously mentioned companies are legitimate brokers and you can be comfortable working with them.

Best regards,
Shontell

We used Jaki, but have tested the waters on other contracts with TTS, but not bought.

My addiction is so bad that I have all three (Jaki, TTS, and Shontell) web sites on my browser favorites and check them fairly often. Not that I'm ready to buy more right now, but when I am, I want to know where to jump! :jumpingbe

I believe that any of the three mentioned brokers could provide quality service and high integrity during the resale process. We bought through Jaki and had a very good experience. I wouldn't hesitate to utilize either of the others though.

Shontell...that's a very classy response you made.

We purchased our resale from Jaki, but have heard good things about the other two mentioned.
