NPR's "Weekend Edition- Saturday" has a feature story on slower roller coasters which focuses on Disney's Expedition Everest. ExE is held up as a standard for a new breed of coaster that used theming and other techniques to enhance experience, rather than relying on speed.
The link to the story is here (http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=5433909). Audio will be added after 1 pm today.
Cheers!

We just got home from a 9 day visit to the World... Rode EE with my 6 year old son who was getting all puffed up over his coaster bravery (rode SM, BTM, even RnR). After the "encounter" with the Yeti, as we spun down the mountain, he was muttering "Please let this be the end, please let this be the end..." I was grinning from ear to ear, he was scared poop-less. Perfect!
EE was everything I expected... A great Disney combination of ride and story.
