Just checking in to let everyone know that there were no cavity searches at the airport yesterday. Things could not have gone any smoother. We landed in Orlando about 15 minutes early, picked up the rental car and arrived at OKW in time to see the last 30 minutes of American Idol. Then off to the Winn Dixie for water, breakfast stuff and some healty snacks.
So far, all is going great here at the World. We did not get a room by the road, nor is it a HA accessible unit that I had feared we would get since we were checking in so late and I think we are fairly close to Ms. Rozzie, but I have not heard any Buffett music, so maybe not.
We went to the AK early this morning (Tursday) and checked out EE, but didn't ride. I am chicken and hubby didn't want to go by himself. We then spent a lot of time taking pictures of Devine, saw the new baby elephant on the safari, and on the Pangani trail we had lots of good views of the gorillas. The most adorable thing we saw was in the aviary--there were several baby ducks, really newborn, and they were floating around on huge lilly pads. We took lots of pics of them and I will try and post later. It was the cutest thing I have seen in just forever. Last thing we did was It's Tough to be a Bug. Then we came back and hit the pool for a little bit, had dinner at Olivia's and then off to the outlets and then Downtown Disney.
When we got back to the room, I had the best surprise. There were flowers and a gift certificate to the Saratoga Spa from my sweet husband. Now I have to decide what to have done and how to fit it into the trip. Such a problem to have.
Tomorrow morning we are off to Epcot to check out Flower and Garden.
