It seems Disney's High School Musical is the highest selling DVD of a television program ever - 400,000 unites sold it's first day. Wow. I think my stock will go up. . .
I've not seen it? Of interest for youthful adults?

My mom bought it for my girls the day it came out. The lady working at Target asked what the movie was cause she had been selling them all day.
My 8 year old DD is OBSESSED with this movie and my younger DD at 5 knows all the songs, too. It is rather catching, both DH and myself have watched it several times with them.
It is like a modern day Grease. The young boy in it reminds me of a young Rob Lowe.

Well I've done my part to support it! I bought the CD for my kids a few weeks ago, and then bought 2 DVD's yesterday (at Target), one for my DD birthday, and one for the birthday party that we went to today for a friend! My girls love it. Some of the songs on the CD get on my nerves, but the others are pretty catchy!

My 9 yo DD loves it she has watched it 3 times allready on family channel up here. I think I should just record it on teh PVR saves her waiting till it comes on again.

I have to admit we have watched it. Our kids love it and I even downloaded some of the songs on to a CD for a road trip a while back. Had to take a little break from it after that but count our DD 3 and DS 6 as fans. Its got enough sports etc... to make it a perfect mix for all audiences. Haven't bought the DVD yet but probably will soon.

There was a very nice write-up in our newspaper here in Birmingham, Al. We don't have any grandchildren in that age group, but I appreciate knowing that good children's movies are still being made. :lovestruc Honi

It reminds me of Grease as well. That was the first thing I thought of after I had seen HSM for the 1st time.
My 8 year old daughter loves this movie and I am really glad it is doing so well. It is a good clean movie that everyone can watch and really feel good about! We need alot more movies like this one.
