Anyone who has attended

1) Is it worth seeing

2) Since we are arriving Dec 30th we will only have the 30th or 31st to see the spectacle - any words of advice what time of night to see it and which night will be shall we say less busy

cheers

If you enjoy driving around your neighborhood looking at Christmas lights then this is like that, but way cooler, way more lights, and of course way more people.

I would go either early or late on the 30th...

I think it is worth it, and cant wait to see them again.

Well, of COURSE you should see it! It is truly spectacular. As to WHEN...of course it has to be after dark, you walk down the street with a gazillion other people. Once you get from the line to the 'street' you walk at a decent pace...meaning no waiting once you get 'on street'.

I should think that you would find it the least crowded, if you went during Fantasmic.

I went last December on a weekend night. We filed out of Fantasmic and it was pretty much a 'line' from the theatre to the Osbourne lights. Even so, it was well worth it!

I actually wasn't that much of a fan until they moved it to New York Street (or Streets of America now). I like it much better in the current format. Yes, it can get crowded, but take the time to enjoy the street performers, the snow, and the general holiday feel.

Bingo! If you plan to hit the lights after Fantasmic, you'll be somewhere in the midst of the other 10,000 people who share the same plan.

We loved the lights. Overall, I found it to be much more satisfying than MVMCP.

The Osborne Lights are awesome but can be pretty tight after Fantasmic. Go during Fantasmic and I think you'll have a much better time.

Thanks for the replies everyone

We do not usually expect to do during that time of year and it is a combination of unusual circumstances (calendar, family and economic) that are enabling us to go when this attraction will be up

Sounds like a must see - we will plan accordingly

Whilst on the subject, is it insane to consider driving and parking on either of those days and should we default to the bus? (I ask since we have never been at the peak peak peak times as in Dec holidays/US Thanksgiving/Independence day holiday period etc.) :crowded:

thanks again

We love walking through it. We always get a hot chocolate no matter what the temps out side are and a bag of fresh roasted glased nuts to munch on during the walk nothing beats it.

If you're going to be at BCV you might want to consider walking or taking the boat. If you'll be at SSR then driving is probably a much better idea.

Went last year and honestly was a little disappointed. First, they had no 3D glasses which were always a cool freebie. Second, we felt like we were being "herded" thru the exhibit. Hard to explain. Lastly, you get in to the display right there at the Sci Fi Cafe, which on the surface may seem like no big deal. However - and I'm hoping they found a new way to do it this year - they roped off almost the entire area in front of SciFi and squeezed everybody thru a four foot opening between a tree and the wall. I thought I was in line for Fantasmic.

Overall I'm glad the display is back and am hopefull they've fine tuned the new display for this year. I'll find out in a few more weeks :-)
