When does F&G officially end?

I am posting for a very shy MouseOwner friend :Pokepoke: She wants to know when the topiaries are taken down- She and her family will be arriving June 15th- Do you think all of the F&G will be gone when she goes then? TIA! :)

The official end is June 11. By June 15 it's likely that some (but probably not all) topiaries will have been removed.

Oh good...hopefully her mom will be able to see some of them- any clue on what happens to them after the festival? I certainly hope they arent destroyed!!

The underlying frames ( made of metal or plastic) are kept from year to year -- but mostly they are filled with sorgum ( sp?) and the desired plant is planted into that --so yes, in away they're partly 'let go' as there's no practical way to keep the inserted plants in the frames alive and looking so good year to year -- but the frames are often reused :)

I understand what you're saying -- yet we need to be mindful of two things, 1) even Florida has seasonal changes (as far as plants go, and no-nothing like in the north but it still has an impact on what can be made to flower at a point on the calendar), and 2) Mgt wants to be able to present certain show elements as an exclusive part of the themeing for the F&G fest--if all of the F&G stuff were 'out' or on display year round..it would diminish the justifications for visiting for the F&G :)

Honestly, the same prinicipal applies for every park-wide themed event ( F&W, SWW, MNNSHP, MVMCP, NoJ etct..) :)

Laura, tell your friend I used to be shy on these boards and have never run into such a bunch of nice, welcoming people since I was coaxed out by you. It is more than safe to stick your nose over the fence....it's a lot of fun! And even though there may be vikings lurking, even they're warm and cuddly.
