FINALLY saw WDW from the airplane!

After over 20 trips, I finally got to see WDW from the airplane. And I figured out what I've been doing wrong all these years. I saw it when we took off to leave. All these years, I'm such a wimp at take-off time, that I've closed my eyes. But when we get close to landing, I've been craning my neck, looking out of every window I can, crawling over people's laps practically, and seeing-NOTHING! Now I've figured it out-look out the window when you take off to leave. I saw the MK (with SM and the castle), Epcot (the lagoon and SE, too), OKW, the golf courses at SOE, and I can't remember what else. At long last-it was so exciting to see it from the air!

Congratulation's Simba's Mom. I love seeing WDW from the plane although I usually see it during landing.

I was going to ask what side of the plane you were on. But I also get it would matter what airlines and which side of the terminal you leave from.

Last Oct, I flew SWA from MCO to Ft. Myers. The plane took off to the North and banked left right over the MK. Cool to see Space Mtn from the air.

S's mom: I don't think I've seen MK from the air, but I remember once flying to california and our plane went right over my house....and I could see my horse in the pasture!!!!! For some reason, that was sooooo cool to me that I never forgot it. When Wishes is on and there is a plane taking off...I always wonder if the people are watching from the plane! Now I know that you were.
