Cast
Mike-Certified Disney Nut
Rachel-Wonderful Wife, Mom and also a Disney Nut
Our flight down to Orlando was very smooth. Upon arriving we were greeted by Sam from Tiffany Towncar. Wow, he was great. We were planning on stopping at the store on the way to the resort, but as most of you know, I had a surprise for my DW. I told her the first thing that I wanted to do was go out to the beach. She looked at me somewhat strangely, but said OK. We got to the Polynesian about 10:15am, we only waited about 5 minutes to check-in. We were able to get a new room in Rarotonga. It was on the third floor with a view toward the monorail. It took less than a minute to get from our room to the GCH. The new room design at the Poly is great. Here are a couple of pics.http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b168/darthgoofy/0095734f.jpg

We had decided that since this may be our only chance for a long time to stay here, we would not go to a park, but would just enjoy the resort. Since we had made this decision, getting Rae to head out to the beach was not a problem. We found a swing in front of the Hawaii building on the beach and sat down to enjoy the view around us. I won’t gross you out with all of the mushy stuff I said, but I was finally able to give her the ring. Just as everyone predicted, she loves it.http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b168/darthgoofy/d6caab79.jpg
After that we went over to Captain Cooks to get some lunch. I am glad they are expanding this place, it is really small. Lunch was good, and we decided that we would go to the pool. The water was freezing, so we really didn’t get in the water just put our feet in. We were in the pool about 5 minutes when the call of the Magic Kingdom was just too much for us to. We looked at each other and said at the same time, ”lets go to the Magic Kingdom” Well, after laughing about that we went and changed and hopped on the boat to the MK. It wasn’t too terribly busy, but it was busy enough. We were able to do a lot rides though. We rode JC, Splash, BTMRR, Buzz, Small World, the TTA, HM, Philharmagic, and for the first time the Carousel of Progress. We really enjoyed this one. After spending some more time at the MK which included our 1st Dole Whips and floats of the week, we headed back to the Poly for our dinner at O’Hana. I have never been here for dinner, but if the old menu was better than the new one, it must have been one heck of meal. Our meal was wonderful. Everything tasted great, and the bread pudding dessert was so good. After dinner we strolled around the resort and went to the beach in front of the Tahiti building to watch Wishes. I think there were maybe 6 people total on that beach. The main beach in back of the resort was packed. I guess people don’t want to walk the extra 5 minutes around Sunset Point.:idontgeti

Tomorrow…breakfast at Kona, an amazing check-in at the BCV, and an unexpected trip to the Forbidden Mountain.
