Count us as OKW owners! Disney waived today. pretty quick, just submitted last week. Took them less than a week!

So, it is official, just paperwork and money to go.
Anyone know with resale when you can actually book your trip? Do you have to wait for the final paperwork?
We booked a trip CSR thru a travel agent and don't want to cancel it until we KNOW we have the switchover to DVC.

You are probably at least one month away from being in the system. I am on my fifth resale in the past year. Your contract still needs to go to the estopal department which could take up to 2 weeks. Then when the contract is sent to Disney it could take two weeks to get entered depending on what day of the week they receive it. Then it will take several days until the points are entered. The wait is a killer.

I was surprised at how fast it went thru and to be honest i had my doubts it would..seemd a pretty good deal for a contract that had its points.

Hubby says I should get business type cards made up with "our other address" you know something like
"The Castle" orlandao FL :scratchch

I guess I will keep the good news to myself..inlaws already hating timeshares. I wouldn't dream of telling my mom until things are done...hate to listen to her 'advice" people seem to have a lot of advice on subjects they have no personal experience with!
I am just so glad for the internet and the ability to reach out to others who do have experience.

I think, one I read said it well "being Disney it isn't like a fly by night group, it is something you can trust" I think, that and groups like this encouraged me more than anything to take the plunge


So excited, hubby doesn't even know yet as he was out of phone range when it came thru.

I found it sad and amusing that when we said we were going back this year we go a lot of "why' 'you were just there" "you do realize there are other places to visit"

what will they say when we have made our trips there in future years. they will need to come up with a new " nag" probably "see you are stuck with a timeshare and have to keep going THERE"
