We were at Typhoon Lagoon on Wed. While climbing the stairs for the new water coasters, we spotted a couple cranes and a building going up. Did a little compass work to figure where I was looking and then asked the CM at the top " What's going up over there ? Is it on Disney property ? ". He replied, "Yes, it's on property. It's the start of the new villians park". I said "Otay" and down the slide I went.

The building is part of the Fairfield Bonnet Creek Resort.

BTW: I toured Bonnet Creek in December and it really is beautifully decorated and the 1 bedrooms are BIG. I honestly wouldn't mind staying there on the weekends (even tho they are on points too, and yep, weekends are higher) rather than off site. The gal who booked Muuska into a 2 bdrm there for the weekends actually had a 1 bedroom advertised for $400 a week...and that would have been a great deal.
(Since I always have a car, and my DVC card and AP, I 'd feel as much a part of DIsney theming as SS or OKW I think.

March-April 'ish of 2007 we're doing a 4 night stay at the Sheraton Vistana resort. We pay $169.00 for the stay, agree to do the TS presentation and get 8000 SPG points for the effort. I told DW I may try & swindle Fairfield into a similar stay and tack it onto the end of the Vistana trip. The Bonnet Creek resort looks great and the location is perfect.

:viking: knows I get annoyed to be lumped in with CMs spreading rumors. Last night as we were closing the shop, I was carrying something in my hand that was DVC. One of my co-workers mentioned that shortly there was going to be some kind of great special & it would be a great time to buy DVC. I don't know what she meant - if she meant they were giving discounts out like they did earlier this year or what. It was 12:30 this morning and this is what it did:
