CABO:First stop missed: hurricane
Puerto Vallarta: Second stop missed: not enough speed to get there
Finally LAND: Acapulco

So me, Gordito and his pretty little wife Nancy and I get off the ship to go explore. We meet friends Gonzolas and Berta ashore and decide to hit the beach first. Not knowing it was election (mayor) day and that alcohol isn't normally served on election day, we didn't realize how special we were to be served drinks under a beach palapa until we returned to the ship!
While drinking, I got a neck, back and arm massage ($2 for 10 mins.). I was happy! Then off to see the famous Cliff divers. Yes, I have pics and a 10sec video clip, but I need to wait until I learn how to post them, but when I do, I will post HERE

While filming the intrepid divers, I noticed that my date from the night before was having a drink at the restaurant overlooking the cliff. :ale: I took his picture and yes, I will post it HERE. So my dinner date was really cute and ...ahem...how should I say this, delicately...he, ahhhhhh, well, he fell asleep in my arms. But then when he saw me at the cliffdivers the next day, he acted like he didn't even remember me.
MEN!!!! :hammer:
After the divers, we went to a internet cafe. Instead of paying $1 per minute, it was $1 per hour. I found out that I had an extension on my reply to the Court's ruling re my divorce. Good news...now I could relax and enjoy vacation.

SEGWAY (lol) to the story of THE MAKING OF ME:
Long ago and far away in a little town in Pennsylvania lived my mum and dad and sister. (I wasn't born yet). My dad got dreadfully ill: spinal menengitas, and , it being 1947, he was the first person ever cured (they only had sulfa drugs back then.) If he hadn't of been cured, I wouldn't be a founding member of the DVC board!!!! :jumpingbe

So anyway, the doctor told my dad that he needed a longgggggg recouperation....like 6 months or so. And my dad being my dad, he decided that he and my mom and my 6 year old sis would take the family Chrysler and drive from Pennsylvania to Acapulco......did I mention it was l947? :coolcar:

Well, thefamlily album black and white photos of the cliff divers always intrigued me as a kid. Tho as a child, I never linked this 'story' to my name: 'Linda aka LEEEnda Marlene' or the fact that I was born, back in Pennsylvania, 9 months later. :sherlock: So mousekateers, I'm guessing I might have gotten my start (aka "The Making Of Me") in Acapulco! :whatababy :dust

And that's enough story-telling today, but Part III will be: adventure packed, adreneline rush, zip line canapy tour in costa rica.
