I am giving my DW a custom made Mickey ring for our 10th anniversary. I am having trouble deciding when exactly I should give it to her. :veryconfu What do you think?

I voted for the beach during Wishes. Some of the best moments in my life has been viewing Wishes from the poly beach with DH. So I might be biased. I think whatever time you decide, it will be the perfect.
Happy Early Anniversary to the both of you!! :)

I voted for the beach during Wishes...it just sounds so romantic. Although it's been over 15 years since I've seen any romance LOL
Another idea might be in front of Cinderella's castle at night, under the stars and the glow from the castle....... (OK, that's how I ALWAYS dreamed of being proposed to since I was a little girl...:lovestruc But even with detailed instructions and being reminded many many times, DH still blew it  )
Ooops, sorry rambling and ranting again today! :hammer:
I'll go back to the beach during Wishes! That sounds like a great idea. Good Luck with whichever you choose. I'm sure your DW will LOVE it! :goodvibes

I will post a pic when I get the ring on Wednesday.
DG,
You know my vote -- like to start the vacation off with a BANG! On the plane. What an adrenaline rush!
Whatever you decide, it'll be great!

I hope she isn't a lurker, LOL!
Can't wait to see it, maybe I can give my DH some "friendly" advice for our 10 yr coming up.:Pokepoke:
LOL Stimpy, I think I have the prize of most UNromantic proposal in the history of proposals! Love to hear yours someday, I am always looking for someone that I can share I good laugh about it with! :hammer:

I went for towncar ride for a few reasons:
1. I can't stand the ride to teh resort. The excitement kills me! This would give her somethign sparkly to play with on the way. ;)
2. My dh would never give me anything of value on a beach. I'm a clutz. Can you imagine if it got dropped on a dark beach! :faint:
3. This gives her the most time to wear it, other than in plane.
4. If you did it in plane, it would not be private. Too many others around.

I voted for during Wishes also! So romantic!!!:loveisint
We need pictures of the ring!
(especially if you lose it on the dark beach, then you'll need it for insurance purposes as well.)

What about during dinner? I watched this special on Disney Weddings on the Travel Channel (they had anniversaries, too), and I'll bet you'll be able to get the staff at Ohana to beautifully place the ring on her dessert. (Apparently, at Albert and Victoria's, they usually put it on the plate with the white chocolate shell, chocolate mousse-filled Cinderella slipper, and it's a big hit.) I think that would be awesome, and a big deal would be made of it, etc. I think it's still pretty romantic.

How would I go about doing something like this? Would I need to contact Ohana directly before we get there? :headbange Maybe I am putting too much pressure on myself, but the first proposal was somewhat of a dud. I want this expression of love to be extra special and perfect.
Maybe I should just take her out to the beach and :sing: her a song.

I'm liking Kim's suggestion! Yes, call OHana directly and see what they say.
Of couse you'll have to let the rest of us know all the details!

Yes, you would have to contact Ohana directly. I think it's something that the better restaurants do fairly regularly, so I don't think you'll have a problem, Mike. In fact, I think putting it in Disney Dining's hands will relieve the pressure. That way, you can just sit back and enjoy not only an excellent meal, but the knowledge that your gorgeous gift will be presented without a "hitch." (Sorry, bad pun -- couldn't help myself there!! :innocent: )

Couldn't have been that bad. She said yes, didn't she? ;) You are most definietly putting too much pressure on yourself, though. Just the thought behind the ring will be enough!

ooh, ooh, put me in the race for least romantic proposals!!! DH and I spent our 10th anniversary with a lunch at Longhorn, eating an overcooked steak with a sick child laying in my lap. I was just hoping she didn't puke on me while I was eating my meal!!:yuck: No romance in this household!;) DH did buy me an awesome new wedding ring in Cozumel on the Disney cruise last Sept. It was completely unexpected, so he moved up a couple of notches on the romance scale.
I can't wait to see pictures of this ring. I voted for on the beach during wishes. I can just picture the scene in my mind. Although Carrie's losing it in the sand comment cracked me up. If DH had it delivered in a dessert, I would probably scarf it down before I noticed it! Just kidding! Can't wait to hear what you decide! Your a really great husband in my book for putting this much thought into it!

No, no, no. They make it *very* obvious. Usually, it's the ring box on the plate. After all, they wouldn't subject themselves to lawsuits. So, I don't think you'd have to worry about a *really* expensive dessert or unintentional gastric distress. :sailing:

I was torn between O'Hana and the beach, but now I'm thinking that Kim has a great idea. You do O'Hana, give her the ring in a fabulous way, and THEN take her out to the beach and sing her a song. Oh, and watch wishes too. And see if someone will put flowers in your room or on her pillow while your gone. Just a suggestion...
You strike me as a catch, Mike. I bet she'll be thrilled.
