Okay - apparently SE is still being narrated by Jeremy Irons, but I'm sure that when I went on it in February it was somebody different. :headscrat Have I gone completely mad!! :veryconfu :crazy:

Not sure if "completely" is accurate,but........

Sorry Bexx, but I really don't know. I rode it in Dec,May and Oct and didn't notice a new voice. Can't imagine they had a guest speaker for Feb.

btw--SE officially has a new sponsor, and I'm told work has already begun to refit the exit que.

As of Saturday there was nothing going on in the exit que. Glad to hear something is going to be done there though. It's kinda depressing when you get off the ride and walk into that empty,dark cavern.

Can ya give a hint as to who the new sponsor is ? Anyone named Bill, perhaps ?

That's tricky for me to answer - the last time I went on SE was in Jan '99!! It was definitely Jeremy Irons then. This time I went on, expecting to hear Jeremy's dulcet tones and was very surprised not to - not at any point!!

Sorry, I didn't mean to imply that hammer's were swinging. What I meant my understanding to be, is that the process to refit (starts with WDI doing the contruction drawings/modelings and blueprints) has been approved to go forward as 'the sponsor' has signed on and has approved initial concept presentations. And I agree, since AT&T demise that has been a bad-show area.

Can ya give a hint as to who the new sponsor is ?

Sorry...I get on a plane tomorow, and I want to be able to sit down for the flight! :D

Keep in mind that the safety message was added a few years ago, and cuts into some of the original introduction as you move upwards on the first incline.

That may have been what threw you?

But I do have 'some' clients that are pretty, well; :goofy:
when it comes to keeping things quiet before they're ready to make press announcements.

Good news about fixing the post show area on Spaceship Earth. In it's current form, it's a sad space to look at.

It's possible that I was just put off by the safety message as bavaria suggested, but it's interesting that ripleysmom also thinks it sounds like someone else - I don't feel quite so crazy now, thank you!! :)

Well I hope the new exit area is complete for our Dec 06 trip it will be nice to see something actually in there for a change. Has anyone heard if they are going to be getting a new sponsor for the Living Seas I mean with all the new stuff in there and Crush's turtle talk it has to be getting some corporate attention from some place.
