Hi To All From BWV!

Hi Everybody! Here I am sitting in my 1 BR at BWV, taking a much needed break. I'm not going to do a real trip report until I return, but here's a little bit of what's going on:

Met Colorado Belle, Matysgranma and JiggerJ (and kids and hubby) yesterday. It was so cool to finally meet in person after all the planning! Jigger and I had roller coastermeltdowns together at last! It was a quick meeting, as we were all running in different directions. Tonight is the Margarita party, that should be fun.

Weather is breezy and sunny, high 82. Supposed to be getting hotter tomorrow, ugh. Got to MK when it opened and did all my favorites. Crowds in MK were pretty heavy when I left at noon.

Off to say hi to Jigger at the pool now, I'll tell her I wrote to you all.

I am happy to report the margarita party was a smashing success! Simba's Mom, Muushu, Viking :viking: , JDVM, Doombuggy, and some of their spouses joined the BW Babes, Matysgranma, colorado belle, and me, in JiggerJ's awesome BW view 2BR. We took LOTS of pics so get ready to see them when we get back and upload them. A good time was had by all and it was SO nice of JiggerJ (Laura) to open up her villa to all of us Mouseowners. Matysgranma had tshirts made for her, CB, Jigger and me that has a photo of the BW and that say Boardwalk Babes on the front. They are so cool, it was really fun for us to match, and needless to say we took a lot of pics together wearing them. I did not attend the Grand Gathering last night, but early reports say everyone enjoyed themselves

Tonight the four BW babes are going to Jellyrolls, I'll be sure to report back on that. Oh, I have to share one more thing. Yesterday was really a thrill for this Off Kilter fan. At a previous show I requested a favorite song of mine to be played at the 5:30 show yesterday. I had my video camera and tripod at the ready. The main guy, the bagpiper, Jamie, pointed to me and made a big deal of saying they were playing the song for me and got all dramatic pretending to slick his hair back and acting all nervous that he was going to be taped. Made quite a production of it all, I can't wait to see it played back. Really made my day. That and the meeting all the mouseowners!

I am solo for the day, off to MGM soon for the first showing of WWTBAM. I will post again when I have time. Wish you all were here!:sunny:

It is so much fun to come back to the room and see everyone's posts, thanks for all the warm wishes and nice comments. I told Jigger the names of everyone who posted and she says to say hi. BTW she's got an AWESOME BW view. 5th floor with a huge terrace and a perfect view of SE and illuminations. Little ole me has standard view. I was right next door to Colorado Belle and Matysgranma, 5th floor above valet parking. They found it too noisy and were moved elsewhere today, I will find out soon where, they didn't know themselves yet. I am hard of hearing, so whatever noise bothered them totally escaped me. I am right around the corner from the elevators, I like the convenience, especially when it's so hot. Although I must say the humidity is almost nonexistent, very unusual in my experience. So the heat really isn't too bad.

We were going to do Jellyroll's tonight but Jigger can't make it and I think tomorrow is better for CB and Matysgranma. I will report in again soon, things are going great here at the happiest place on earth!

Can anyone who's already down there tell me if Pirates of the Caribbean is open. We got a little insider information on the Tell No Tales message board that it would be open until May 10th. But that was a while ago, but reports from various websites say it's supposed to be closed on May 1.

I was hoping to get one more ride on the classic attraction before the changeover.

We have friends staying with us and they are seeing a whole new side of Disney. Not sure if that is good or bad! :holymoly: The weather has been one of the best we have ever had. Tonight was Rose and Crown with Illuminations for desert. Life is good.

I'm sorry I messed your name up in my original post Muushka. And it was great seeing you yesterday at the Off Kilter show! (She and her hubby and I ended up sitting next to one another in the front row, unplanned).

As for POTC- I was in the MK monday but I assumed it was closed and did not check. I won't be back until Friday. I called the front desk at BWV and asked them, but I think they just read the latest info they had on hand, which was that it was currently under rehab.

Did lunch with imagineer today, was somewhat disappointing but still fun. I'll explain more in my "real" trip report when I get home (boohoo). Tonight is my evening with Linda (CB) and Pam (Matysgranma), we're doing is Off kilter then Le Cellier, then Jellyroll's. Hi to everyone from everyone!

BTW a bit hotter today but still low humidity with a nice breeze in the shade.

We are really having a great time. It gets warm as the day goes on, but when you can go early to the parks and take off when the heat comes on, well it doesn't get any better than that. Today we did EE at AK twice (my frist time riding it. Great themeing), a few shows and then back to BWV for a swim and nap. Life is good.

It has been so much fun coming with someone who has never been to WDW. It is like re-living the excitement through them.

We have 2 more full days after this one. We check into Bonnet Creek again after BWV. We love that place!

Sheesh that was nothing! You ought to see the pile of empty tequila bottles in my room! Not to mention various kilts and underclothing from the members of Off Kilter!


Jellyrolls was GREAT!! I am definitely making it a permanent fixture of my BWV trips. It really was a ton of fun singing along with the piano players, and I must say the crowd was very lively and really into it. I can't believe it took me so many trips to finally go there, what a gem! I highly recommend it if you like singing with a crowd, they do all sorts of genres of music, but most are very well known songs.


The heat isn't bad if you stay in shady areas, as there really is no humidity so far. (slept late today and haven't been out yet, but that's how it's been past few days. I don't think I have ever had such low humidity here in WDW. And, like Mushka I take a midday break when the heat is at it's worst, so I haven't been bothered by the high temps. If it was humid I would be miserable.


I ran into one of our newer members, Pocahantas at (yep you guessed it!) an Off Kilter show yesterday, what a sweeheart she is! She said she could tell for sure it was me by the way I was singing along to all the songs, lol. Matysgranma and CBelle met me at the show after that, and we had fun bopping to the great music. Our dinner at Le Cellier afterwards was very good, and then of course Jellyrolls was awesome.

I am taking it slow and easy today, as last night was a late one, didn't get to bed until 1. I have an appointment for a massage at 11, mmm, I can really use one! That pack of mine gets heavy, especially when I carry my video camera and tripod in it to go tape Off Kilter. :goodvibes :clappingh

Something is WAY wrong with that photo....I KNOW that we had built a
hidden mickey with those bottles....someone must have messed with our design after we passed out...er, i mean, left the premises. Well, there's a hidden mickey in there somewhere, I'm sure. And yes, a good time was had by all!

Mar...wait just a skinny minute here: no self respecting Scot would wear ANY underclothing under his kilt..even if they are Canadian! HA!
