How's the non-smoking situation coming? Hope you are sticking to your resolve and are still smoke free!

Things are going well. But then again I am still coughing my brains out coz of the pnemoania. Makes it easy. LOL

But it is dawning on me that I will be a non smoker in a smokers world. DH smokes, all our friends smoke... all of them. The places my friends and I like to go are smoking joints... even our movie theather... all smoking..... smoke smoke smoking

Oh yeah.....

With that said, I am committed to this. Every night I would lay in bed wanting to stop smoking. I have done it. Well I have gotten thru the first 2 weekish... And I like laying in bed and NOT thinking aobut having to stop smoking.

The question is.... how much is the smoke going to bother me in my smoking world......

I only feen for smokes right after I eat.... so far so good. Although I am munching a lot more than I should, but part of that is boredom with being to sick to really do anything but eat... lol

So... does that anwser your question?? LOL

:crowded: First, a hearty congrats for giving up smoking. I can only imagine how difficult a job that would be. :thewave: Once again, you prove yourself amazing!!!!

Second, lots fo pixie dust to get you through. :dust

But third, and I'm worried about saying this cause I do NOT want you to ever give up on kicking this addiction, but here goes: you have to help your H to quit too. The recent studies seem to confirm that for some reason, women are more susceptible than men to lung cancer. (It gets worse). In a household, if a man smokes and the woman (and girl children) NEVER smoke, that the females are still twice as likely as the men to get lung cancer... :jawdroppi.

Have you considered a WDW fund? put the money you save from each pack into a trip fund.... I know that cigarettes are cheaper in the US than in Canada, but it would still add up and be an incentive.

Good luck!!! and if you do slip back, you can always start again. Don't consider a slip a failure....

It will be especially tough if your DH doesn't stop. Maybe you can go on a crusade and get all the other folks in you world to come out of that smoke filled room too!

Oh yeah... that would go over big.... not! LOL

I may bug DH about it,, but the poor guy has had a bad month. Mommy being sick is hard on Daddy...

I feel like real life is on hold while I recover. I went to pick up dd for lunch today and decided to get out of the van and meet her.... coughed and coughed... sucked. I need to get over this blasted pneimoania ASAP.

I AM SICK AND TIRED OF BEING SICK AND TIRED!!!

I know from experience that once you are no longer sick and tired, you are going to be amazed at how much more you can do simply from giving up smokes.

Not standing on any soapboxes, but I really was surprised how much better I could breathe, how much more active I could be without being tired, the activities that I found myself enjoying again instead of avoiding and finally how much I couldn't stand the smell of smoke on other people. (I am kinda hoping you don't have that last one come up, but at the same time, I do think your sense of smell is muted when you smoke and it will return after a while and you might be amazed).

Hang in there. Hope you can take some deep breaths soon!

:dust :dust :dust I'm glad to here you're eating a lot more than you were. I hope your DH tries to quit after he see's your resolve. My sister Pam quit after my sister Debra. I guess she was motivated by Debra being able to do it. Don't ever turn back. Keep going. :coolcar:
