Haunted Mansion, the Donald chair is gone. Why !?!?!? I want it BACK and I want it BACK NOW !!! Or else.... or else...... on never mind, I won't stop going to WDW.

You're in your Doom Buggy, have gone past all the doors with the boo.. er, knockers. Now you're looking down the endless hallway. Can't remember which side, but on one side was a suit of armor & on the other side was The Donald Chair. It looked like any other chair, but if you looked carefully at the pattern on the seat back cushion, you saw Donalds face. Really neat.

Regretably, that's true. Since it was a 'one-of', with no other in inventory to replace it. I haven't heard yet if they'll replace it. I hope so.

I haven't actually heard, but my first guest would be the dusting crew may have accidentially hurt it in the course of dusting and webing.

I heard about it before but have never seen it. I was always looking in the dining room. No wonder I never found it :hammer: If it ever comes back I will have to see it.

That is one of the icons of the HH! I hope it is just being refurgished. When we took the Backstage Magic behind the scenes tour, we got to see "general shops" where they do all the refurb. GREAT fun!

It should have a COOL title....so lets get our inquiring minds to work to come up with something and we'll ask Kim if she'll add it when she gets back from the WORLD!

almost ever trip we visit the HM and i dont think i ever noticed donalds face in the chair.... are you pulling our legs... "this" is a rumor thread.......

I also think all your ideas are great we should have topics on Hidden Mickeys or what have you noticed or not noticed in WDW......

Sorry WDWSTAR, but The Donald was real, not a joke or rumor.

We never realized we were looking at a Donald until we learned of its existance during our KttK tour a few years ago ( not where it was, but that there was a hidden Donald in HM ). Next time on HM we spotted it without a problem then thought "Duh..... how have we missed it all these years".

I don't think it was purposefully made to be in the image of Donald. I certainly don't see that much of a resemblance. However, for those that enjoy it, perhaps you can trek on over to DL and check out the one over there...

That pic does not do justice to the chair. You have to see it in the normal lighting of the HM. Donald is my youngest DS's fav charactor so we tend to notice all the various facial expressions Donald makes. Of course , the whole idea behind a hidden "X" is that it shouldn't be too obvious.

I bet with the lighting the chair has a better effect of donalds face. I will be watching for the chair next time we are in the HM. Thank you for bring this to our attention, now lets find out what happen to the chair. :sherlock:

It really does look like Donald in the HM - when we were at DL in April all the realtives were checking it out! when you're watching for it - it was pretty obvious! I think it has something to do with the way they set the chair up in the lights..... anyway - hopefully they'll have it back out soon!
