My oldest DD named her Bella. She was an impulse buy this past Sunday. We have an older Brittany Spaniel at home and I had no intentions on getting another dog. BUT... I saw her, picked her up and could never put her back down! She is very sweet! I called my DH and at first he told me no way, but I started to cry and he caved in. ;)

Bella is a Golden Doodle! She is part Golden Retriever and part Poodle. I had never heard of such a thing! It looks as if she is gonna get big so I'm a tad worried, but she shouldn't shed! BONUS!

So anyway, I'm even more busy than before. She is like having a toddler in the house! I've been feeling a tad guilty for buying her so impulsively, but she is really proving to be a sweetheart!

We have a doodle blend as well. I caved after relentless years of badgering from DW, after my one last arguement about shedding was solved. I just posted a picture of the little furball on the Nothing thread.

Good luck!

Cocker Spaniel, ala Cock-a-poo, though DD own's version is Spadoddle. My version can't be typed on this board.

No way I could let that go! (Although, there's no way we could have an indoor dog. Too long btwn potty breaks.) Very cute!

TW1 - Love your princess too!

Shan, I can't help but think that the poodle parent might not have been a Standard Poodle, but maybe something smaller like a miniature. She just doesn't seem big enough for a 10 week old Golden/poodle cross.

Now you just have to hope that the next DVC is at the Kennel Club instead of at the Contemporary;)

Cute pup! Bet your family will have loads of love to lavish her with...

I did the same thing to my dh with my son's rabbit. TOTAL impulse buy - I don' no nuthin bout raisin no rabbits, but I got tricked by a friend who brought me over to see their guinea pig. We have one piggie already, and we thought a second pig might keep DS9's piggie company. Plus, eldest son wanted a pet. SO I took him with me to see this pig that my friend needed to find a home for. Well, I should have asked WHY she needed a home for it -- it was because they had too many RABBITS! And when we got to her house, there on the floor with the guinea piggie was a tiny little black and white bun with black lop ears. My son wanted THAT instead of the piggie... so I brought home BOTH! (Gave the piggie to our dd). DH was NOT happy! He still gives me grief about that rabbit sometimes. But honestly, a more luvin' little critter you've never met (and he thinks I'm his mommy - too sweet.) And every morning, I can hear DH geting the lunches ready for the kids... and I hear the piggies and the bun rustling in their cages - and I know what's up... DH is giving them bits of apple peel, carrots, etc. and petting them! SOme tough guy. I think there's a part of him that acts "mad" about me getting them as a way to hide the fact he's mad about them! The little fur balls do grow on ya... :goodvibes

ENjoy that new family member of yours!

Congratulations on the new fur ball! I love dogs (grew up with them, and hated cats), but we live a cat lifestyle. So now, we (ironically, of course) have four cats. I don't think Eric would ever go for a dog, though....

Good thing I am mostly over my allergy to all of the critters, though, since I was diagnosed with adult-onset asthma this past year!
