my dolphin friend wanted to say hello to all the Mouseowners from HHI Disney Vacation Club!!!!:howudoin: :earboywav
Isn't he just wonderful?! I got this pic when DH and I went on the dolphin cruise that DVC has. I went with no expectations because they don't feed the dolphins anymore to bring them to the boats (cheerios aren't good for dolphins:rolleyes: ). I just decided to enjoy a nice boat ride...and boy was I thrilled:sunny:

We're just starting to think about HH for next April. Is this one of their excursions? He looks wonderful!

Yes, this is a DVC excursion. We paid for it at the same place where they rent bicycles and have the campfire w/ smores and sing-a-long. We did it on Wednesday, which is DVC member day and got 10% off. I think it was about $60.00 for the two of us. It was very worth it! Of course, as I said earlier, they don't feed the dolphins off the boat so we felt lucky to get that close-up. Come to think of it, it would be a great idea to bring binoculars to try to spot them for getting closer to. A fellow DVC'er on the boat was great at noticing them from afar! :highfive:
DH and I went on the DVC Dolphin cruise. From the resort to the great blue expanse, a mother dolphin and her baby followed us. While in the ocean, we saw four young dolphins playing about 30 feet from us. We actually got splashed! One came really close to our boat. They are highly intelligent beings, who are curious about us. Even without the food, you can get really lucky and have a great experience like I did.

Was the Dolphin cruise worth the money? We are thinking about doing it in June.
Thanks

My experience was very worth the money. As I said, however, I went with no expectations of other than a nice boat ride. We saw several dolphins up close and personal. The dolphin whose pic I took was a foot from the boat. Dh and I loved this excursion. It is in a small boat. We had six all together on the boat, seven with the driver. I would think it much better than the big boats that go out.

I think we will return next May:fingerscr My mom can't wait to go on the dolphin cruise. We signed up late and there was only room for two left on our boat.
