Rosa Parks was 42 when she refused to stand up. She didnt want to be mistreated and knew she would continue to be miss treated is she continued to allow it.

What a courageous woman! She did this in a time when her generation of women was taught to be "seen and not heard". That one action was the spark that started the end of segregation in the south and the whole civil rights movement.

The most amazing thing to me about Rosa Parks was that she wasn't the kind of woman that would try to start something like she did. She was an ordinary person who with one act made such a difference.
