When are you going to MNSSHP?

I will be there on 10/5, along with my daughter and her best friend (who is like a daughter to me). The dates are in another thread, but just to remind everyone they are: 9/29, and in October: 2, 5, 6, 10, 16, 17, 23, 24, 26, 27, 30 and 31.

We plan to dress up, probably as characters from Toy Story, but we're still in the discussion phase regarding our costumes.:sunny: :Pumpkin: :yes:

Maybe you two could start a GG post for that time period since it looks like there are quite a few people planning a trip around Halloween!

I know you are sad at missing yet another get together...I'm sad too. But since we are mostly girlie-girls on that trip, your trip with Scott will be more a couples trip anyway...and of course it will be very romantic and fun!!!!!

Out of curiousity I called. You now book Grand Gathering events through WDW Travel (so you can use the toll free number). They don't have their schedule for the fireworks voyage for October yet, but she gave me some September dates. It's no longer restricted to Tuesdays and Saturdays. She has several Sundays, Mondays, Fridays, and Saturdays on the list.

We're flying down on Sunday and leaving on Friday, so it may not work for us at all. But I'll call again in a month or so and see what the October/November date are. Maybe if they add a Wednesday or Thursday into the mix it will work. If it ends up being on a Sunday it will just be my husband and me. If it's a Wednesday or Thursday it will be four of us.

I'll be happy to set up a GG Fireworks Cruise if anyone else will be there from 10/29-11/3.

DH and I are going down for a few nights w/o the girls for F & W. We were thinking about MNSSHP on the 16th, too! I'm thinking we might go as Tinkerbell and Captain Hook, but I still have our Alice and Mad Hatter costumes. I'm worried about Tink's wings on the rides. Any suggestions?

The Dale-n-Chip family of 3 will go 10/17 (Tues). DS5 (Dale) has suggested the following costumes:
DS = Dale
Me = Chip
DH = Pluto

If anyone has any ideas about where I'd come up with chipmunk costumes, I'm ALL EARS! Is it possible to come up with more obscure characters?!:headscrat

To add a note from an earlier post, I know GG events for up to about 10/18 or so are already open for booking. A friend has us booked for a Magical Fireworks Voyage Sun 10/15 (booked Friday 4/21).:kickingco

We are going for the first time. What would you recommend for a Dinner reservation and what time? We are arriving to Villas at Wilderness Lodge that day. it will take us 7 hrs. to get there from home. I have made a 7:15 at Liberty Tree Tavern but now I don't know if that is a good time, but then I don't really know if we can get checked in and make one any earlier.

So far I have ADR at Tonys for 6pm- (have never been there for dinner)

Costumes...hmmm...I dont know if my 2 fuddy-duddy dd's will even dress up! But I know that ds and I want to! :) DS will probably want to be a Pirate or a Jedi Knight- I would LOVE to go as Cindy and just spend the night at MK hanging around MY castle ;) But dont think I would make such a great Cindy anymore...starting to hit the "frumpys" stage! :ROTFL: I might be better off as the Fairy Godmother! :)

Well, nothing as hot as our previous Alice and Mad Hatter costumes! (DH suffered that night!) So DH and I decided to either not dress up this time or do something really simple. So we're going to be Mouseketters! Although, I tried on my outfit the other day and I have to admit it is pretty darn cute! I got DH matching long shorts to my pleated skirt. I felt like I was 10 in it! :beaniepro

So I should be easy to spot - my name will be across my chest! :Paranoid:
