It has been rumored that the Treehouses will become a DVC property. No idea if this will happen.
On Saturday though, one of those Information Dispensors ( aka Boat Driver ) informed us that in a couple months they would be reopened but only to house the college program kids.
Also stated the big problem with refurbing them was that they would have to be made ADA accessible & what that would require would also be in conflict with the Wetlands laws.

We were told in May that they were not to sure but they never did get the ok for the school kids to stay in tehm but we were told that was a good rumour floating around. I hope we get to have them in the inventory at SSR I would stay there in a heartbeat.

I've never seen them, and I'd love to try them myself. Don't think it's likely now, but always good to hope, right?

I posted some interior pics on dvcconverts picture thread when we stayed there. Most people dont know what the inside looked like. We stayed there twice back in the late '90s I think. We really liked them! :)

I am so hoping they will be part of SSR, that is one reason we did an add on at SSR for the 11 month booking. But we also did the add on for other reason too. :hammer:
