Looking through the book and the points needed for this section I am a little confused. When it list points per week it doesn't mention if that is per person or for the entire room. For a one bedroom it is 160 points in High season. On the cruise points and Conncierge collection it is very clear that points work either per night or per person. Can someone clear this up for me?
Thanks,
Bryan

Points for DVC resorts are for the room, not per person. Yikes! That would be rough! HTH!

I may have been a little unclear on my original post. I am talking specifcally about staying at other properties like in Hawaii etc...
Even though we will be spending the majority of time at DVC resorts we are also interested in venturing out also.
Thanks,
Bryan

You think I would have noticed the title of the thread.... Sorry about that!
World Passport is a flat rate. Per room and by the week.
Sorry about the confusion!

World Passport is Interval International trades, so they definitely are per room/per week. Since many are traditional timeshares, they are week at a time only. I happen to think using points for Hawaii is a great value versus the Concierge Collection.

Bryan,
I agree with what everyone has said - the Passport Collection is Disney's cute term for trading for another timeshare. Interval International only deals with weekly timeframes right now and the demand of the season and unit size determine how many points you will need.
One way to see the "demand" is to go to intervalworld.com, resort directory and then look at the week you are traveling within the coded boxes: Red = high demand, Yellow= medium demand, Green = small demand.
Member Services should gladly offer to tell you how many points a week elsewhere will cost and is probably much easier than going to the site. The good news is that Disney is so highly demanded you shouldn't have any problems getting your choice, unless it is a last minute request.
Hope that helps!
