ROFR support thread-

Hoping to start a thread for current DVC members and soon-to-be DVC members who are beginning the process of a purchase of a Disney Vacation Club resort thru resale-

The process of ROFR can be very exciting and stressful both at the same time (been there!) :crazy:

I am hoping that if a thread is started it would be very informative to current and future members in terms of where the resale market is.

But more importantly to share support with lots of pixie dusted well wishes and Welcome Homes-

If you have had an offer submitted to Disney for ROFR please list resort, use year, the asking price per point and date submitted would be very informative-

And then of course the follow up! So you can be Welcomed Home! :clappingh

OK...Just sent paperwork and deposit for a resale w/TTS. It is for 130 points at SS, June UY, at $83 pp. This will be our first add-on and we bought our first contract through Disney at VWL. I can't believe that I held out this long before adding on. Good luck kimcat1

I think this is a much needed addition, both for the support (I remember it well) for ROFR woe and as a chart of points pricing at the resorts. I wonder if we could get Beca to help with the formatting of this chart?

Well, I got a call today from the Timeshare Store and we passed ROFR. We should be getting our paperwork in a couple of weeks. I'm so excited. :jumpingbe

How long after you signed your contract and paid the bill were you able to book your reservations on your new DVC points?

Buying resale and wanted an idea how much time to allow after we finally buy it.

Anywhere from 4 - 8 weeks. Just depends on paperwork and processing.

Hi Mousehouse!

I've had clients in Disney's system as few as 3 days after closing. (You may call Member Services daily to see if you are "in" yet)

However, it has been taking an average of 1 - 2 weeks after closing as of late. If you are anxious to make resssies, ask your agent to inform the closing company (who will hopefully inform Disney when they send over your paperwork).

Sent out the final signed documents and final payment yesterday. Now just have to wait for the deed registration. If you already have a guide from a purchase made through Disney, do they give you the same guide?

Yep, generally, unless your guide has "moved on."

Just so you know once your contract goes to Disney to enter in I was told twice by quality control that they have one person that enters them in on Friday, weekend and on Monday. Once the contract is entered it usually takes member services several days to load the points. They usually do not load points on Mondays since they all are answering the phone.
