When are you going?? Who are you going with??

We are going the party Dec 18th (Sunday) It will be Me, DH, DD6, DD5, DD2 and our friends ad thier two kids DS4, DD2.

I sure hope we have better weather than the other time we attepmted the party when it poured and was so cold we didnt want snow on main street (and there wasnt any due to the rain) Everything was canceled... parade... fireworks... sucked big time.

Gee that's enough to get everyone in the mood eh?? Sorry. 2005 will be much better Im sure! LOL

I will be there 11/27-12/3. It will be my best friend and I. She has never been to WDW during the holiday season so she is very excited. And it will be her 1st trip to my ''home'', so I can't wait for her to see it. We are attending MVMCP on Tues 11/29, my birthday is 11/30 and we have spa appointments at SSR-peppermint pedicures-heavenly! Then later that night we'll be having my birthday dinner at Spoodles and hanging out at the Boardwalk!
And, we have been friends since we were 8, so we always said when we were friends for 25 years, we would go to WDW to celebrate! I had t-shirts from disneyshopping website made up for us to wear! Hope we don't look too dorky :goodvibes

I have been tweeking our plans for our December trip.... I still need to cancel an IllumiNations cruise... arrange for a sitter for 5 kids for a night, and set up plans for that night.

How come your cancelling your cruise? (hope that wasn't a nosey question).

I booked two nights in a row and need to cancel the extra one. At the time of booking we were not sure which MVMCP we were going too... and now we are going on the the 18th... I am canceling that cruise on that night and using the 19th cruise instead.

Now If I can as blessed with scoring a Cat 3 for the Members cruise.... CRT no problem... IllumiNations I am the Queen. Now can I tackle the member's cruise???

CB- GREAT idea the first ever DVCBOARDS minnie-meet!! You can count me in and I am sure that chip126 will be there!!!! Chip and I are not going to any MVMCP's this year. (I think I feel a new thread in the works!!! :) ) Our group alone is NINE!!! Sounds like a great photo op for all of us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought it was the DVC get togethers outside Epcot...but that is on Thursday Dec1 3-5.

I don't know exactly as I have never been to one but it is outside EPCOT on the way to the international gateway. Its just a place for merriment and there will be characters, a place to meet other Dis'ers and such. I think there info on it here on another board.

I know most of us going that time frame are going to the merry mixer so meeting there would be great.

Maybe we start a new thread, Merry Mixer DVCboards minnie meet or something like that.

I answered my own question! I was relating your disney passes ending on the 29th as that being the date.

OK...beca put together a great list of people going to the Dec 1 Merry mixer
and posted it on the disboard. I am copy/pasting it here on its own thread.

Certainly we can all meet up at the mixer...or just before it for our minnie meet...or we can try to have a time all our own, preferably with drinks, or on the Boardwalk or something 'special' OR we can do both!!!!!

Lets do it at the Merry Mixer then.
We need to have SOMETHING on that makes us stand out from the OTHER DVC owners....I was going to take my lime green visor that said The Dis and take off the letters (sticky foam) and make it say The DVC or mouseowners.

The meet is at 3....so we can either meet there OR meet just before it at BWV and take the boat over. I'll probably be at BWV helping matsygranma check in...so we will take the boat over at any rate.

Last year went to MVMXP and it was fun, but I thought I'd pass on it this year. BUT THEN, I got to thinking that it was the first time I saw 'WISHES' and it was spectacular....and that maybe it was MORE than just WISHES on a regular night. I remember I was in front of the castle and it felt like I was IN the fireworks...that they were going off all around me. Anybody know if they are different during MVMXP?????

This year they are doing something different to Wishes during MVMCP. I guess it is a special holiday version of wishes.

Last year it was the same old wishes only with the 360 degree grand finale.

Maybe we should get a new color instead of lime green. Like sky blue or a purple color like in the DVC mountain logo.

The Xmas one in Epcot also sounded good...so I might switch.

Cobbler...I'd be happy if we chose a color. Since the Mickey in the DVC logo is gold, why don't we all go to Home Depot and pick up some gold Mickeys?
I'll make sure I wear one of my DVC pins.

BTW...we got 2 feet of snow today and the interstate was closed in both directions. I'm drinkning some cocoa with harshmangers and loving it!

I might have to buy a MVMXP ticket. I didn't really get wildly excited about anything last year...but the Wishes fireworks that 'surrounded me' were really awesome. If they are truly different from regular Wishes or last year's MVMXP, I think I will be FORCED into going.....I LOVE Wishes. :doublekis

I am doing the Hdden Treasures of World Showcase the morning of 12/1, before Marrakesh, and then the Merry Mixer.

Yeah, the gold Mickey heads are a good idea. Heaven knows I go to Home Depot! Between visiting my boyfriend and remodeling the house I feel like I live there! Lol.
