View Full Version : Split Stay or Not

Hi,

Help!!! We love both VWL & BCV!!! Right May trip is BCV (home)! Was going to call tomorrow for the 1st two days @ VWL. Good idea or not?? Because of Wilma MS is closed today! Update 10/25 Got VWL for 3 nights & BCV for 3. 6 days in WDW!!!

How many total days are you going for? I really enjoyed our stay at VWL. It is a beautiful resort. Would this be your first stay there? Chip 126 and I are doing a split stay this Nov. 4 nites OKW then 4 nites at the Poly. I have never done a split stay before. Oh...when you be in the World in May? :)

If that's what you want to do, then go for it. The only real advice I would give is to pack the two nights worth in your carry on so you don't really have to unpack too much when you get there.
I have done many split stays and they've all been made very easy thanks to Disney. I just had Disney transport all my stuff to the new resort, and didn't have to worry about it. Even the perishables get refridgerated by them.

For a 5 night stay, I dont think I would move.

I am a fan of split stays though, and we are doing one in March... 3 or 4 nights at Ft Wilderness cabins followed by 6 nights at BCV.

Whoops! Wrong dates for myself! Will be there 4-30 thru 5-05. I guess I am planning to many trips at one time!

I think it was Beca who posted that her H doesn't like to switch cause he feels 'dispossessed' for one day. Especially on a short trip, I could feel that way too. But a lot depends on who you are (is it just you and H, no kids?) and how you DO Disney. Myself, I like to make a room my cozy little home...so packing up and moving is more work than for others.

So, I'd have to ask you when you think you can get back to the World again? and if it is fairly often...then why not wait to book your next trip at WL?

Agreed - second opinion that 5 nights too short for a split stay (unless you cannot get one continuous stay at one resort)

We split-stay on 6-7 nights and higher (unless we have points constraints :hammer: )

switched to VWL for 3 day & added a day @ BCV! Can't wait!!!
