I like starting fresh each month...that way if someone gets sent off the island, they come back after a "hiatus!" :yo-yo:

Carrie, I like starting fresh each month and just the accountability factor is enough for me. No need to be kicking anybody off anything!

I'll add my 2 cents ;).

First of all I think the whole Survivor idea is awesome and very much a fun way to stay accountable to our fitness goals. :doublekis So thanks to Carrie for organizing!!!

Being a bit of a competetive person, I like having the "threat" of getting kicked off LOL. I think it motivates me a bit more than if it we were given lots of chances.

However, with that said, I think we should set a few ground rules. If a person checks in and is having major issues, for example family, work, illness, they should be given some sort of immunity. Maybe everyone gets a few "get out of exercise" free cards. But we could always tie it into having them exercise 4 times the next week or something like that? Just a thought?!

I like starting fresh each month because it allows people to get a chance to "play" again.

I also like the idea of having a different "challenge" each week. It could be in addition to their 3 x week exercise. For instance one week have everyone keep a personal log of their eating, another week have everyone do one activity that is outside, maybe have everyone check-in with a fun fitness fact that they researched etc. You wouldn't have to necessarily be accountable for the extra challenge (unless it required you to check-in with the group). But it might allow people to step outside their comfort zone or try something new.

Anyway, that's what I was thinking.

I really don't think anyone should get kicked off. LOL, MAYBE because I am next in line on the plank as we speak.

I think the idea Amy had was great, like you must do extra workout the next or of somesorts. Also, I think the time we are at WDW should be immune, as can you imagine the miles we put in there? Also illnesses and work, and emergency's should be some kind of leniency.

I also like the start fresh each month. Gives the new people who have just joined in get a chance to play and not feel like it is a exclusionary game.

I know I have exercised a lot more since joining the game, and now with my new machine, watch out! :woohoo: I might even do 45 minutes!!!

I guess I like both ideas... One being the Survivor game, who will be the last to survive:sherlock:. The other being one that keeps everyone involved.

Who says we can't do both? Keep the Survivor challenge going with out starting over and have a new monthly challenge that starts every month. That way if anyone falters on Survivor they still have the monthly challenge to keep them going. Those that are still on the island have both.

I liked this month and I would like to start fresh again. I think this month is a good practice month to get an overall feel for things.

I think we need to establish from the get go who many times per week and how long the workouts must be or you get to be the island CM. I would say a max of 4x per week though, build up to it or something.

I also like to go until we can be the last survivor but that is just fun. I would hope no one gets kicked off.

However, I think a challange would be great. I think if you complete the challenge you get immunity for whatever week you think you are falling behind or whatever. Not just one person receive immunity, anyone who completes the challenge gets the immunity.

I also think if you are an island CM, and you do an extra challenge, then you get to earn your way back on the island. For example lets say you are an island CM, you must complete the minimum workouts required for that week and then do the normal challenge (if there is one) and you earn your way back on the island. Plus a little extra challenge - something simple like 30 extra situps or something crazy.

And say no more than 2 challenges per month that way you can't build up crazy immunity and not have to workout for a month :p

And YES Immunity at Disney - very important because of all the walking.

I don't know, just my 2cents or 1cent for whatever its worth :flowerfor

I just saw this poll.

I think I checked all the boxes!! I like the original game plan. It really motivated me to exercise and overcome those days when I would really rather not and eliminating being voted off the Cay might eliminate some of that aspect. BUT I also want this to motivating for everyone as well, which toward the end might there might only be a couple people left. Hummm.... How to do this??? Maybe cobblers ideas would work.

I like the idea of challenges, like having eveyone do something they usually don't do (take a walk in a different park, jump-rope, try doing a cartwheel, choose a different outdoor activity then normal)

What ever you guys want to do is fine by me.

Since I am new to the Island, I don't really have an opinion. Whatever is decided will be fine with me.
